Good morning crafty friends! I wanted to share a card with you featuring one of the recently released "Fairylicious" stamps by Victoria Case for SCACD. These stamps are available exclusively at SCACD. Victoria did such a great job creating these gorgeous fairies. They are so versatile and can be used for so many different occasions.

This pretty little fairy is called "Loves Me". I paired her up with some pretty My Mind's Eye Vanity Fair papers. The horizontal teal paper was embossed with the Hedged Maze folder from Couture Creations. It was then lightly sanded and sponged with a bit of ink to highlight the embossing. The pearls were created with a Viva Decor Pearl Pen. The die cut border was created with the Memory Box Delicate Vine die...this die has quickly become a favourite of mine. Her wings were coated with Stardust Stickles.

It is definitely on my shopping list for my next order along with ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever. So Adorable!!

Yesterday I got to use this super adorable (yes…hence the title…ironic…nope…lol) Sylvia Zet for SCACD stamp called “Give Peace a Chance”. I decided to use just blacks,warm grays and kraft brown colors with small pops of gold. My papers are by MME called “Kraft Funday” (now 20% off). The swirls are Doohickey's by Magnolia and the flowers are Petaloo topped off with black buttons tied with bakers twine. I distressed all the edges with my Zutter Distress machine.

This cutie got colored with Copics W9,W7,W5,W3,W1 / E44,E43,E42,E41 / E11,E00, R20 / YR23, E35, YR20 / E49,E35, YR20, E31. I added some Stickles to the flower petals and the ruffles on her shirt for some sparkle. To create sky I like to use my Inkssentials Blending tool (with foam) and sponge on blue ink by SU—easy & quick sky for ya!

She is called Sharing is Best. She has been colored with my copic’s and I have used paper from the KaiserCraft pad Chapter One from Susana’s .

The Elegant Scroll is a Memory Box Die and I have used some Prima Flowers on my card.

Good Morning! It seems like forever since I have posted. I have been super busy, as well, as being under the weather. Hopefully, things will calm down soon so I can play and try some new techniques.

This adorable image is "GIVE PEACE A CHANCE" from the Sylvia Zet "THE NEW ADVENTURES OF LOLI AND POPPY". Isn't she cute? Going to give away my age here - I can remember the flower child days and bell bottoms and peace signs everywhere.

She is colored with COPICS and highlighted with STICKLES. I did do some stitching on this card because I thought it called for it.

Here's a different angle. The embellishment in the corner was made using the POPPY STAMPS DIE - SMALL TILDA SWIRL. I cut it out with pink and orange and layered it and put a embellie from my stash in the center with a rhinestone. The border is a MEMORY BOX DIE - MERIDIAN BORDER. Before I used the Memory Box dies I only used SB for background, but after using these dies and see how clean they cut I use them a lot more. To finish my card off I used rhinestones from my stash.

Welcome SCACD friends! Are you enjoying all the fabulous inspiration from the DT using the two New Releases? It's so hard to choose which image to color first!

I finally decided on 'If the Shoe Fits' by Victoria Case for SCACD from The Fairylicious Collection. You can find her, as well as her fairy friends *Here.*

She is overjoyed that her new shoes fit... and who doesn't love a comfortable pair of shoes??? She's stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored with the following copics: RV34 RV32 RV11 RV10 RV00; G24 G21 G40 BG000 BG0000; W7 W6 W5 W4 W3 W1 E50; E11 E00 E000; E49 E59 E25 E53.

To achieve the transparent, but sparkly appearance to her wings, I used Transparent Gloss Gel with Glamour Dust sprinkled on top. Both sets of eyes, shoes and bottom of the shell also received a nice coat of gloss gel. One thing I like about the gloss gel vs Diamond Glaze is the control-ability. Both have great applicators, but the gloss gel is thicker and gives a more dimensional quality. I suppose you could use multiple coats of Diamond glaze, but for smaller areas that I want to have more dimension, I still prefer Transparent Gloss Gel - I really do!

Gorgeous dp is from the Kaisercraft Bonjour paper pad. The top two layers have been distressed with Spun Sugar Distress Ink as well as the doily peeking out under the tulle I used as ribbon. I LOVE tulle : D

Guess what I haven't used in a while? My (PINK) Rose Viva Decor Paper Pen! Do you love PINK as much as I do???

See that cute lil tag? I stamped the sentiment (Hero Arts) with Black Onyx VersaFine Ink Pad, distressed with Spun Sugar, a couple of paper pen pearls and tied on using Sew Easy Floss in 'Princess' Pink. Can you believe that I actually used my Cricut (woot woot!!!) to cut out the tag?

Susana has a nice variety of Memory Box dies in the store. She carries a Classic Tags set (currently out of stock *sad face*) one tag is similar to the size and style I used on this card. You can find it *Here.* Check out the other cool designs *Here.*

Because the base layer of dp is textured and slick, I've used Scor-Tape to adhere the middle layer to the bottom layer - AND because the tulle makes the bottom layer bulkier, as I've wrapped the ends behind the paper, I've also used Scor-Tape to adhere the layers to the card base. I LOVE how strong this tape is...

I love getting new stamps inky--don’t you? Have you ordered your Sylvia Zet for SCACD and Victoria Case for SCACD new stamps yet?? If not, you know you *need* them so why not head on over and go shopping!!

I absolutely fell in love with Lori’s Crystal Rose card--isn’t it just fabulous? I love everyone’s new release creations but this one just stuck in my mind. So I decided to ink up Crystal Rose today.

As I was masking her and trying to decide what I wanted to do, I wished I had the new Flames Crafter’s Workshop Template--wouldn’t that just look so cool? Me thinks that will have to be ordered soon! Or even the Aspen Trees Crafter’s Workshop Template! I finally decided on a pretty Dreamweaver stencil I haven’t used, Cherry Blossoms.

I used some shimmer chalks that I’ve had forever but I think the new Creamy Chalks that Susana got in would work wonderfully. I used the chalk as I wanted it to be a very subtle effect. Next time I need to remember to sponge some VersaMark on then dust the chalk on as most of it wore off(and hardly shows in the photo) but still a nice subtle effect.

Get Inky with Stencils!

I hope you've checked out the latest releases at SCACD! I have a card today using Crystal Rose from The Fairylicious Collection by Victoria Case for SCACD. As soon as I saw her, yup, I thought...ooh let’s get inky, lol! Definitely time to get inky/messy again!

Oh and did you see DT sister Danni's masking tutorial - HERE? Very cool! I decided to follow along and do some masking on my card!

Crystal Rose was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then masked. Heavy sponging with a few different Ranger inks, followed by stenciling (ooh love love this Crafter’s Workshop “Circle Explosion” stencil!) with more distress inking. Sidenote: Ooh you need to check out all the cool new stencils Susana just got in - HERE!

Image was then unmasked and colored with Copic Sketch Markers. Printed paper in the background (MME Lost & Found 2 - Sunshine) was also stenciled with Worker’s Craftshop “Branches Reversed” stencil with distress ink. Orange foil from the "Jewel Tones" Premium Craft Foils Assortment was cut with Memory box Serafina Heart and Cherish Border dies.

Click on card for a larger photo. However, the photo does not show all of the detailing. There's lots of shimmer/shine - Smooch Illuminate brushed on her outfit; Diamond Glaze on her eyes, lips & jewelry and the ladybugs’ eyes & wings; Ranger "Crystal" Stickles on her wings.

I plan to do more with stenciling in an upcoming tutorial post in a couple weeks. So hope you’ll play along then - get inky & messy! LOL

Crystal Rose

I hope you saw the fabulous New Releases at SCACD. One of the two New Releases is the Fairylicious Collection drawn by Victoria Case exclusively for SCACD. I grabbed Crystal Rose and got all busy creating.

I used a 4x4 canvas as my starting point. I love creating outside the realm of cards. It lets me just do so many different things. The background is created using the Crafters Workshop Templates, specifically Ferns and Punchinella.and sponging inks.

I stamped and colored Crystal Rose then fussy cut it out. I knew that there had to be sparkle on the wings and some extra fabulous bling in her hair made her a real fairy. Stickles made both of those possible. I used two coats to get the look in her hair.

Added a couple layers of lace to make a frame and VIOLA! This is one of my favorite things I have made lately. Probably because I just grabbed supplies and started to PLAY!

Today I have a Valentine's Day card to share! I hope that you all like her, this card features the fabulous Blowing Kisses by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD (and Susana has her 25% off right now at SCACD) so while you are shopping to get your newest Victoria Case Fairies and Sylvia Zet for SCACD beauties make sure you scoop up this cutie too! She is perfect for any type of card!! Papers are from the Bo Bunny Crazy Love Collection. Used my Grand Nesties to create this shaped card! Each scallop got a self adhesive pink rhinestone. The bow was created using my Bow Easy.

The beautiful Blowing Kisses was colored with Copics and pastel pencils. The hearts got a coat of Star Dust Stickles and Diamond Glaze was added to her eyes.

Hej ladies!

Today is my very last post as a DT member of SCACD. I really love being part of this team, but sometimes the day-to-day life takes too much time and you need to slow down. This mean that I will not be blogging as frequently as I have before.

Susana - I'm so happy that you found me in the "blog-land" and I cherish our friendship a lot. I do hope that we one day will be able to meet in person.

You made me start to draw again - something that I now hope to be able to get the time to pick up and improve. This led to my very own stamp line - Anki's Sweethearts. Thank you so much Susana for believing in me and making me step out of my "comfort zone".

I also wanted to share some of the "mini-cards" that I made with the latest Elisabeth Bell line for SCACD. So here's a final card symphony from me:

Hot Cocoa Anyone?

I decided that it was time for me to haul out my Cricut and cut out a tag for today's project. I've used A Cuppa by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD. Isn't she darling? And look... she already has her Starbuck's Hot Cocoa!!!

I've used my usual... copic markers to color this cutie-pie. She's accented with Stardust Stickles (my fave Stickles!). I made the pearls with my Graphite Viva Decor Paper Pen. I love blue and black together : )

Here's another view to show you how scrumptious the Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz is that I sprayed over the entire piece! I may have overdone it just a tad hee hee...

Welcome friends! First... I'm not sure if I was supposed to use Danni's masking technique or not (I did 'not'!) but I DO want to point you to her FABULOUS Masking Tutorial *HERE.* Thanks Danni, you've given us tons of valuable information which I will use next time : )

Anyway... I have a special card to share with you today using Peace by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD from the Odds and Ends Collection. I've been waiting to use her for someone special and today hubby and I are invited to a special lady's home for dinner. She's also going to show me how to make Butternut Squash Ravioli! She is the BEST cook ever... but she's gone through so many surgeries for cancer, so I thought Peace was perfect for her!

She's colored with copics and accented with Stardust Stickles. Just take a look at those pearls... The large half pearls in the center of the flowers are self stick, but the small pearls in groups of three are Viva Decor Opal Paper Pen. If you've visited me before, you already know how much I ADORE my Paper Pens lol! I simply can't live without 'em : D

What do you think of the red lace? Everything else was in blues, so I wanted a touch of red... I have this awesome lace stamp by Kaisercraft so I can create any color lace I need, isn't that great? I've stamped it twice here and used a 1/16" hole punch along the edges. You can find the Lace stamp *Here.*

I finally have my sewing machine out and plugged in, but I wanted to use my Sew Easy Tool so I could hand sew while I watched TV. The horizontal strip uses the Zig Zag Attachment. I was actually surprised to find that it wasn't a problem going through two layers of paper (the cs is Bazzil, which is pretty thick!). You can find the Sew Easy Tool and all the attachments *Here.* I just ordered an attachment that will allow me to sew "♥love ♥ love" well, similar to that... How fun!!! The love attachment is *Here.*

Just wanted to share a little card that I made using the wonderful "Iris" by

Carmen Medlin for SCACD.

We are superhappy here - since we got a new little member in our family - Isac's cousin Agnes was born yesterday and they are all doing great! So there will most likely be some shopping next week.

My friend Danni and fellow DT member did an absolutely amazing tutorial on masking a couple of days ago. You really should check it out. I was inspired by her to do a bit of masking of my own.

I am one of those people who has more than one project going at a time. I know, you are all shocked, but it is just how I am. A couple of those projects are altered books. There are a couple because I have more than one theme going right now. One of them is mermaid themed. Siren's Call by Carmen Medlin exclusively for SCACD is an absolutely beautiful mermaid and what I used for this project.

I decided that for what I was doing, I did not want to stamp the cattails portion of the image. I did a bit of reverse masking to pull this off.

You can do this two different ways. 1- ink up the image and then place tape over the section you don't want to stamp (what I did this time). 2- place tape of the section you don't want to stamp, ink up the image and remove the tape before you stamp. BOTH work and I use both, it just depends on the area I don't want to show when stamping which way I decide is easiest. If I have to piece together the tape (like this time) I will usually do the first one so it doesn't come off while I am inking up the image.

I then stamped the image on my book page. The next step is to create the standard mask to use. I stamped the full image on Eclipse Tape. This is kind of like a post it note with it all being the sticky part.

I then cut out the image and placed over the one I had already stamped on the page. As you can see, I didn't worry about the reverse masking when I stamped it here because I just cut the cattails away.

Once the mask was in place, I inked all around the image to create my scene. I also spritzed some water on it without any problems.

When everything was dry, I removed my mask and completed the page. I DID use just the face portion from the mask and glue it permanently on the image so that none of the words from the book page interfered with her face.

Added some coloring, some, ok a LOT, of Stickles and a word. Here she is. Siren's Call, all ready to be looked at, loved and admired.

For this sweet fairy I sponged ink around her when she was all masked off. I think it gives it a nice effect.

Good morning! Did you know that Susana recently released three adorable Spring Flora Fairies by Carmen Medlin for SCACD?? Some of the design team members have been sharing some gorgeous creations with these new fairies here at the SCACD Store Blog "Follow Your Heart".

Several months back, Susana released the Fall Flora Fairies by Carmen Medlin for SCACD. This is one of those pretty fall fairies, Friendship Rose. I paired her up with some papers from Basic Grey. You can find Susana's amazing selection of 6x6 paper pads HERE. Those gorgeous corner accents were created with the Memory Box Die Madera Corner. (click HERE for Susana's selection of Memory Box Dies) I absolutely LOVE this line of dies and there are several on my wish list. :) Susana has a lot of these dies back in stock...but they have a tendancy to fly off the shelves, so make sure to grab your favourites quickly!

Friendship Rose was stamped on Neenah and coloured with Copics. If you are a follower here at the SCACD store blog, you will likely have seen Danni's fantastic tutorial on masking. To create the sky behind my stamped image, I first masked the image and then cut out a cloud shaped template. I used a make-up sponge to apply Memento Summer Sky using my template to create the clouds. As you move around the sky, shift the angle of your template or even flip it so as to avoid any repeating patterns.The image was cut out and matted with Spellbinders Labels 18. Her wings were coated with Stardust Stickles.

To decorate the inside, I used another Memory Box Die. This one is called Delicate Vine.

Masking- Danni style

It's been a while since I've done a tutorial so I thought I would do one on a technique I get questions on often~ Masking.

Next to paper piecing, I think this is one of my favorite techniques as it allows your stamps to be so versatile!

Your first step is to stamp your image, here I used the super sweet Iris, from the Spring Flora Fairies.

Set that image aside for a moment. Your next step is to stamp the same image again, but this time on a post-it note, if your image will fit, or on scrap paper. Iris fits onto a post-it note so that is what I'm using here. When using a post-it note, be sure that some of your image is stamped on the edge where the "sticky stuff" is.

After you have your image stamped on the post-it note or scrap paper, carefully cut it out.

Once you have your image cut out, then you place it directly over the other image you have stamped on your cardstock. The post-it notes should stick enough but you can add a removable adhesive if needed, same with if you used scrap paper, use a removable adhesive to hold the cut out image on top.

Be sure that there isn't any adhesive showing--make it hidden!!

From here you can let your creativity flow!!

You can ink around the edge of the image-

You can use a template/stencil--like the awesome Crafter's Workshop Templates- here I used the Cosmic Swirl- (I sponged ink onto the template and then sprayed it with Maya Road Iridescent Pearl Mist for some shimmer)

Or you can stamp another image next to your original one- here I put the cute Pansella next to Iris.

When you're done, remove the post-it note/scrap paper and finish your creation! I always save my "mask" so that it's ready to be used another time!

Happy Monday...I hope all of my SCACD Friends are doing wonderful! Today I have a fun card to share with all of you! YAY!

My card features the beautiful Designing Dreams from the Odds & Ends Sampler by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD. This was the project that came from the sneak peek that I shared with you all -->here<--. Papers are from Echo Park's For the Record Collection and Victoria Garden Collection.

Designing Dreams was colored with Copics and pastel pencils. She was then cut out using a SB Labels 14. Edges were inked with TH Mustard Seed Distress Ink. Then edges were blinged with Rhinestones. This cutie pie's pants were with Star Dust Stickles and the Kitten's flower was accented with Illuminate Smooch.

I hope this brings a little bit of sunshine to you all on this Monday morning!

FAIRY WISHES

HAPPY FRIDAY!! Time for weekend crafting and fun. (YAY) Would you believe it was 76 degrees here yesterday in central Texas? Crazy crazy weather, but sure is nice and spring like - the birds are even chirping.

This image LILY from the SPRING FLORAL FAIRIES reminds me that spring is just around the corner. I just love the sweetness on her face.

LILY is colored with COPICS and for the beautiful glitz I used DECOART GLAMOUR DUST GLITTER PAINT -CRYSTAL. Sometimes the ultrafine glitter paint works better than Stickles - even though you guys know how much I loooooove Stickles. The bow was made using my BOW EASY and the flower and butterflies are from my stash.

Hi All! I'm here with Poppie from the Spring Flora Fairies by Carmen Medlin for SCACD! Poppie was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic Sketch Markers. The beautiful fun papers are from the Fancy Pants "Love Story" 6x6 paper pad! The patterns in this pad are so teeny & cute!

I'm so loving cutting the foil with dies that I did it again, lol. Beautiful Poppy Stamps Dies - Tilda Swirl was cut from Teal Spellbinders Jewel Tones Premium Craft Foil. The leftover foil pieces from the die cut were used to make half flowers in the corners. The center of the flowers were made with my Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen. Uchida Liquid Applique "White" was applied and heated to make the pompoms on her shoes. It's difficult to see in the photo, but there is a LOT of shimmer - Smooch Illuminate on her dress and wings; Smooch Glitz Frost over her wings again; Sakura Clear Star pen over portions of her wings and the leaves in her hair. Diamond Glaze on her shoes, eyes and the ladybug.

Before I tell you about my card I want to tell you about an exciting release this Sunday - 15th. I can tell you it has to do with Spring Fairies. So, please come back and visit.

This beautiful image is "CAROLYN'S BONSAI" by Carmen Medlin for SCACD. I like Bonsai's because they are so unique and interesting and calming to look at - at least for me. It is stamped with MEMENTO TUXEDO BLACK INK and colored with COPICS. The DP is Prima Madeline.

To finish off the card I applied KAISERCRAFT PEARLS and STICKLES on the little butterfly and on the MS butterfly.

Well hello all

I am back with another little project I have done. It is so nice to be able to just play and not go to work lol Not for much longer though lol

Today I have altered a puzzle piece from a floor puzzle and have used this adorable image called Designing Dreams from the Elizabeth Bell Collection called Odds and End Sampler

for Susana’s Custom Art and Cards.

Sorry the picture isn’t so great and a bit crooked, but it was hard to get a picture as it is so big lol I thought it would make a cute door hanger.

The image has been colored with my copic’s and I have used smooch pearlized accent ink on her shirt.

This is Uptown Girls - Victoria and Juliette (Drinks)! Perfect image for New Year's Cheers. Image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored with Copic Sketch Markers. Their outfits were paper pieced - all patterned paper is from My Minds Eye "Lost and Found 2 - Rosy" paper pad (on sale now!). I also used my new Memory Box "Buckle" Die! Ribbon was threaded through and a knot was tied in the center of one of the buckles. Zva Creative Clear Rhinestones were added to the buckles. Diamond Glaze was applied to their high heels and drink glasses. Oh...and no distress inked edges...gasp, lol.

1st Sign of Fall

This lovely image is from the Reflections Set #1 drawn by Carmen Medlin and the full set is ON SALE! She is called 1st Sign of Fall.

I paired her with some of the vintage look paper in the Prima Printery paper pack. I decided to keep the cream and browns with a touch of blue going when selecting the embellishments as well. I used the same Copic I colored her dress with to color the Bella Bauble in the large flower and the centers of the small ones.

Hi everyone! Just me popping in with a card featuring A Cuppa from the The Odds Sampler by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD. How cute is she?!

Lots of stuff on this one, lol. A Cuppa was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic Sketch Markers. Diamond Glaze was applied to her eyes and the hot chocolate mug. Smooch Illuminate was brushed on her dress & hair ribbons. (BTW, did you see the new Smooch Glitz that Susana brought in? EEK, can't wait to get my hands on those, lol!)

The window frame was made using the "Small Madison Window" Poppy Stamps Die. The window scene was created using snowflake stamps stamped with VersaMark Ink, embossed with Stewart Superior Fine Detailing "White" Embossing Powder, and then sponged with distress inks. I then spritzed it with Maya Mists Iridescent Pearl (my first time using it - wow, this stuff is awesome!) The gold design on the left edge of the card was made using Clearsnap Double-Sided Adhesive Stickers - Orchard and covered it with gold embossing powder. After heating, I sponged it with distress ink to bring the gold out even more.

SCACD now carries Stamping Bella Stamps! Woohoo!

This is Uptown Girls - Posh. So cute! I thought she would make a fun Christmas card. She was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored with Copic Sketch Markers. Her outfit and pressies were paper pieced with beautiful papers from Echo Park's Holly Jolly Christmas paper pad (sorry sold out).

It's difficult to see in the photo, but there's a lot of glimmer/shine - Smooch Illuminate was brushed on her dress; Diamond Glaze was applied to her shoes and the dots on the pink bag; Sakura Clear Star pen was used over her hair ribbon and most of the presents' ribbons and tissue paper. Zva Creative White Pearls in the corners.

Wow, I'm just trying to keep my head above water, lol. Last day of school - had to bring in food for their party, just got the teachers' gifts done. Still behind on a lot of cards & tags - ACK! And little more shopping to do - ick, LOL. Work is not helping either - ha! Hope your world is settling down and you enjoy your Holidays!

First I would like to say THANK YOU to all my followers and for the wonderful comments you leave me. It is the comments and emails that give me inspiration.

I wanted to try something different and it was fun and messy. Not exactly what I wanted the end result to be so I will keep on practicing and trying new things. The image "MELODY" is from the Odds & Ends Sampler by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD. I love her name. It suits her so well.Melody is colored with Copics and highlighted with Stickles. The background is a Tim Holtz Faded Texture Folder on Kraft Paper. The musical notes are embossed and then I used different Distress Inks and blended. I am not sure what I was expecting, but it turned out looking kinda cool. If you click on the pic you can enlarge it and see the different dimensions. The rockstar is paper from the Rock Star paper pad and I highlighted the letters with H2O's. It has been forever since I use them. The kraft border was made using the Memory Box Meridian Border Die. Of course, the bow was made with my Bow Easy and the flowers, charm, and metal arrows are from my stash.

The Victorian...in Paris

Good morning! I wanted to share a card with you today featuring one of the recently released exclusive "Reflections Yesteryear" stamps at SCACD by Carmen Medlin. This is "The Victorian".I adore this collection of stamps. I think they are so elegant, and they are an absolute joy to colour and create with. The papers on my card are all from My Mind's Eye "Madison Avenue". This paper pad was a gift from a very sweet crafty friend, but you can find it at SCACD HERE for only $5.99 USD. The papers in this collection are so beautiful and sophisticated, and lend themselves beautifully to vintage style cards...which happens to be one of my favourite styles. :) The paper edges were all distressed and sponged with brown ink. I added a few pearls, machine stitching, some crocheted trim, a snippet of ribbon and a pretty Prima flower to finish it off. Did you know that Susana has an incredible deal on Flower Grab Bags?? (37 flowers for $9.99!)

"The Victorian" was stamped on Neenah cardstock with Memento Ink and coloured with Copics. The pink portions of her dress, umbrella and hat ribbon were all paper-pieced with the MME paper. I added shading to the paper-pieced areas with my Copics. After cutting out the pieces, I went around the edges with a dark grey maker to hide the white core of the paper. This helps to blend these pieces into your stamped image seamlessly. My favourite tool for adhering paper-pieced components is my Quickie Glue Pen. You can precisely apply this glue pen to even the most finicky little pieces of paper with ease. After cutting out my coloured image, I again went around the edges with a dark marker to avoid having the white paper core visible.

Hej ladies!

How are you? Are you ready for a mini-tutorial from me?
I decided to create my very own paperstar - inspired by the cute Melody. I thought she was singing X-mas songs and decided to create a little X-mas card with her + a matching paper star.

This is how I made the star:

Cut your choice of DP into 4 stripes. Size depending on how large you want the star. Here I divided the cardstock into pieces -6" long.

Score the DP - depending on how wide you would like the "folds" to be.

Fold each piece as an accordion:

Glue the pices together and then the edges together to create a circle:

Decorate the center - I used a flower:

Repeat the process with different sizes if you want several layers on the star:

Then pick a ribbon of your choice and hang your new X-mas star in the window.

I’m using this super cute & new Elisabeth Bell image for SCACD called “Happy Days”---she’s perfect for a happy day eh!? I just loved her big 50’s style skirt and cardigan (they had great style back then didn’t they) and I had a ton of fun making her skirt into a leopard pattern---that’s something fun I teach in my CMC Copic Class #5

I used some fab papers called “Little Black Dress” by Basic Grey---great patterns, I just love it! The sentiment is from a PTI set and then I used some layered Primas to create all my flowers. The black border was made with a MS Jumbo punch and the swirls are from Heartfelt Designs “Bella Rose” die.

So I colored my image with Copics- E33,E31,E50 / C9,C5,C3 / E11,E00,R20 / YR23,E25,YR20. I drew my leopard print onto the skirt with my black Spica so it has a bit of sparkle then filled them in with copics. Always color and shade your image first…then add a pattern on top. Her sweater, shoes, hairbow and ruffles got a nice coat of Stickles—her belt buckle got gold Stickles.

Hi all! I wanted to make a fun, non-traditional Christmas card using Poppy from the The Adventures of Loli and Poppy by Sylvia Zet for SCACD. This image is so cute!

Poppy was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored with Copic Sketch Markers. The beautiful papers are from Echo Park Holly Jolly Christmas paper pad. It's difficult to see in the photo, but there's a lot of glimmer/shine - Smooch Illuminate was brushed on Poppy's outfit; Diamond Glaze was applied to her & the ladybug's eyes; Sakura Clear Star pen was used over Poppy's wings and all of the flowers.

It's Humpday! YAY!!!! Sure hope all of you are having a wonderful week and a good start for the holiday season. This is my favorite time of the year. My oldest daughter and family will be here the week before Christmas and leave on the 23rd and then on Christmas morning I will fly to my other daughter's for a week. I have 6 grandchildren and I looooooove being with them. Wished they weren't in other states, but both of my son in laws are in the military. One is a helicopter pilot and the other is a Captain - good place for them to be now since the economy isn't the best. Enough rambling.

On to happier things. This adorable image is PEACE from the ODDS AND ENDS SAMPLER by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD. I just love the name and her face is so beautiful.

Feeling a little "Fancy"

Good morning SCACD fans!! If you are a regular follower here at the store blog, I'm sure you have seen all the gorgeous cards and projects being posted by my fellow DT members featuring the newest exclusive stamp releases to hit the SCACD shelves. The "Odds and Ends Sampler " by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD was released last Friday, just in time to help you fill the holiday wish lists of your crafty friends...or to add them to your own wish lists!!

This is the card I made for the release day blog hop featuring "Fancy" from the "Ends Sampler" set...isn't she cute? I paired her up with some papers from My Mind's Eye. The flourish was created with the Memory Box Elegant Scrollwork Die. The little roses are from Prima and were treated to a little ink and Stardust Stickles. While Susana doesn't have these exact roses in stock, she currently has a fantastic deal on some Flower Grab Bags...these bags contain a total of 37 flowers for only $9.99 (USD)! The flowers are an assortment by Prima and Kaisercraft...what a steal!! I also tucked in a few pearl sprays. The frame around the image was created with a border punch. Just punch a strip of cardstock, cut out some notches and adhere the border to your image panel with a strong double sided tape. (I used Scor-Tape) The notches should allow you to manipulate the cardstock around gentle curves like this oval.

"Fancy" was stamped on Neenah cardstock with Memento Ink and coloured with Copics.

The velvet paper from SEI is an absolutely perfect backing for a holiday card. I love this stuff and have really been hoarding it. Guess it doesn't actual decorate anything well from my drawer! Her wings have extra sparkle from the Viva Decor glitter liner in hologram.

Seeing how I didn't get a chance to play along with the rest of the SCACD DT for the Stocking Stuffer Release on Friday I couldn't wait to play with my Stocking Stuffer Release stamps! Have you all gotten your stamps already? This set is definitely a MUST HAVE in my book! I've used A Cuppa from the Odds & Ends Sampler by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD. Isn't she a darling drinking her hot cocoa....or in my world it's Chai! This is what I look like EVERY MORNING drinking my chai...well I wish I only looked that cute when I get out of bed! LOL!

Little Miss A Cuppa was cut out using a SB Labels 10 die. While my image was still in the SB die I took my TH Weathered Wood and sponged around the edges. Papers are from the Bo Bunny Snowfall Collection....ooooo do I LOVE me this paper pad!!!

A Cuppa was colored with Copics and then accented with my pastel pencils. Her cup was coated with Diamond Glaze and her hair bow was glitzed with Star Dust Stickles.

The white flowers were accented with Frosted Lace Stickles.

What do you think of my snowflake charm? I used my Epiphany Solid Round 14 Tool (which happens to be 15% off at the SCACD Store right now) & Round 14 Bubble Cap to create the customized bobble and then placed it into one of the Silver Charm Settings....and viola you have your VERY own customized charm to match your creation! How fun is that? I absolutely LOVE the Epiphany Tools because you can make customized items for your cards! If you are a matchy-match person these tools are definitely for you!!!

Are you enjoying all the fabulous-ness being created by my DT sisters using the NEW Odds and Ends Sampler by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD? They have soooo inspired me with these ADORABLE new stamps. I just can't get enough!

I hope you will also enjoy my card today using one of my faves from the Ends Set, Designing Dreams by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD.

Do you love her as much as I do? She's just so sweet with her adorable outfit and precious little kitten. I wonder if her furry companion cuddles up in her lap to keep her warm???

I've colored Designing Dreams with the following copics: Pants - E29 E27 E25 E13 E11 E00 E000; Pinks - R85 R83 R81 R000; Skin - E11 E00 E000 R20; Hair - E49 E59 E25 E53; Kitten - W3 W1 E00. Stardust Stickles on her pocket, patches and pant cuffs.

All pearls are Viva Decor Opal Paper Pen. Ribbon and beads from my stash. Lots of flowers are on SALE *Here* and *Here.* FYI - Also on SALE are 6x6 paper pads *Here*

The metal corners were brads, but I cut those off and used glue instead. Did you notice the 'brooch' in the upper left corner? It's a little wonky... I cut it out from a Scrap Girls kit and put a coat of Viva Decor Transparent Gloss Gel on top so it would have an acrylic like coating.
