BY THE BEACH

Good Morning !!

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. The weather here is so beautiful. It is like a spring day, but with my allergies I cannot go outside. Central Texas has to be one of the worst places to live if you have allergies.

On a better note,  today I want to share this cute little image with you. She is   BY THE BEACH PEEKER from the SUMMER PEEKER COLLECTION by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD.

I had so much fun making this card. She reminds me of my little granddaughters and my older older ones as well.  We all love the beach.  There is just something about the water, sand, and beautiful sunsets that are soooooo relaxing.

The image is colored with COPICS and highlighted with STICKLES. Normally, I use STARDUST STICKLES on everything, but this time I used the YELLOW to make it more bold. The bucket is glossed with Glossy Accents. The burlap, flowers, etc. are from my stash.

I think so cute that it is time to watch out for Peeker Fever outbreaks hee hee!!!

Letter to a Friend

Today I inked up  Letter to a Friend from Elisabeth Bell for SCACD.  Wouldn't you love to just sit in the sun and write letters to your friends?

Mariposa Eyes!

Hi all!  Sorry, trying to get my head above water lately, ack, lol.  Today I'm here with "Mariposa Eyes" from the Susana Loves Stamps "Eyes of Dreams Collection".

She was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic Sketch Markers.  Her dress was paper pieced using gorgeous papers from the Pink Paislee "London Market" paper pad (love this pad!).  The paper pieces were shaded with Copics for dimensional effect.  Sakura Stardust Pen was used on her wings, outfit trims and the butterfly.  Sakura Clear Glaze Pen was used on her eyes and lips.

For the framed background, I cut a solid frame out of patterned paper from the same gorgeous paper pad, using Memory Box "Debutante Frame" Die (on sale now!).  I ran this die cut through my big shot using the  Couture Creations "Waterfall" Embossing Folder (this folder is cool!).  Using a brayer, I inked the raised portions with "Shabby Shutters" Distress Ink.  I then brayered over that using Luminarte Silks Acrylic Glaze "Ice" for a very beautiful shimmery effect.  I then die cut green cardstock using my  Memory Box "Twirling Vine Frame" Die (on sale now!) and adhered it over the solid frame die cut.  Note - these Memory Box Dies work together - layering one on top of the other.  I then fussy cut my image and adhered her with pop dots to the card.  I added a lot of little pearls to the background using my Viva Decor "Ice White" Pearl Pen (this seems to be my go-to pearl pen, lol).

Garden Eyes

This image is Garden Eyes from the Susana Loves Stamps, Eyes of Beauty collection.  This was a rare occasion when I colored the image and then found papers, embellishments, etc. I am both pleased and shocked with how well it worked out!  The background paper is from a Kaisercraft pack and was perfect!  I used my Viva Decor pearl pen in yellow to create the center of the larger flower and it was just the needed finishing touch.

ROCKSTAR HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Happy Friday !!

Today I want to share "ROCKSTAR EYES" from THE EYES OF BEAUTY COLLECTION. I just love the eyes on the SUSANA LOVES STAMPS COLLECTIONS and they are all soooooo cute and fun to color. This card is kinda simple, but I really had a lot of fun doing it.

The DP is BO BUNNY - ALORA. If you have time you should stop by SCACD and check out the 6 x 6 paper pads. She has some of the most gorgeous paper and is always getting in the latest and newest. I did a little weird stitching and added rhinestones and flowers from my stash.

Normally, I use only COPICS to color my images, but I have been wanting to try the SHINHANART MARKERS so I purchased THE CAUCASIAN SKIN SET from SCACD. I used them on this image and I really do like them. I bought couple more sets of different colors that I will be trying in the future.

Teapot Mouse

As a Mom of 2 boys, we seem to have had assorted rodents as pets over the years.  None of them are nearly as cute as this Teapot Mouse from the Reflections Set #1 at SCACD.  I think she is just lovely and welcoming.  I matched my markers to the colors in the Basic Grey Plumeria paper before coloring her.  The corner designs are actually cut out of one of the papers in the collection and the background is from the paper pad as well.

Garden Eyes

Hello dear blogging friends !!

I am back today to show you another one of the Susana Loves Stamps Collection. And from my title you can see this beauty is Garden Eyes !!

Isn’t she just adorable???

I have colored her with copic’s and have used some spica glitter pens.

Lots of glamour dust and some diamond glaze on the eyes.

The paper pad I used is from Authentique called Free bird and you all need to check out all of Susana’s collection of paper. You won’t believe the large variety.

Come Hither Eyes

Oh look what i have to show you today !!! This is Come Hither Eyes from the Susana Loves Stamp Collection.

She has been colored with my copic’s and spica glitter pens.

And this gorgeous paper is a pad from Susana’s called Yours Truly from Echo Park. This pad is just beautiful !!!

I have used several Memory Box Dies for my card and and the flower is from Prima.

I used diamond glaze on the heart and eyes and glamour dust for the wings.

So hope you all got your hands on some of these beauties I tell you that you will love coloring these in and the eyes are just breath taking.

Rockstar Eyes "Alex"

I can’t get enough of these Susana Loves Stamps Eyes of Beauty and Dreams stamps! Today I used Rockstar Eyes “Alex”. So fun that she’s named after my DT Sister, Alex! 

I played around with my Luminarte products again! I used the negative space of a few punched out butterflies to create my background behind Rockstar Eyes “Alex”. Then I stamped over them with an old stamp set with Archival ink. To finish the background I went over it all with DecoArt Glamour Dust Ultrafine Glitter paint in Ice Crystal and distressed the edges.
