She's So Precious!!!

Welcome SCACD friends!  I hope that you are off to a wonderful Wednesday!!!  My card today features Precious Present by Sylvia Zet for SCACD.  She IS so precious!!!  I hope you enjoy her : )

Sorry, I'm not at home (where I have the list) to let you know which copics I've used to color her... and boy is she FUN to color!!! DP is Webster Pages *Here.*  The metal embellishment in the corner was made by yours truly.  It's the last one I had, so I have to make more!  I began by making a mold of 4 stacked metal corners (because they are so thin).  I filled the mold with Crystal Gel (which happened to be Blue/Green) and let dry overnight.  After removing from the mold and trimming, I applied a generous coat of Silver Precious Metal Paint (LOVE this paint!!!).  Voila'!  It is very lightweight and easy to adhere to your card or project.  The best part about having molds is that I can make as many as I need and use any color to match my card.  Tutorial using Molds and Crystal Gel/Modeling Creme *Here.*

Isn't she a doll?
I've glittered her wings with Ice Crystal Glamour Dust Ultra Fine Glitter Paint.
So easy to use... just paint on!  No glue or messy glitter to get everywhere : )

Of course, I needed to sneak in some pearls using my Rose Paper Pen (THIS is my absolute fave paper pen of all time!!!)  Susana carries lots of different colors *Here.*

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  You can find the rest of this Oh-So-Adorable Release by Sylvia Zet for SCACD *Here.*

Love and blessings~

Twinkle Twinkle, My Little Star

Today I have something other than a card to share with you all using one of my favorite cutie's from Sample Edition #5 Collection by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD!
I took a wooden plaque that I got from Walmart and altered it to display this cutie pie and amazing sentiment.  The plaque was first painted with a mixture of pink and white acrylic paints.  Papers are from the Prima Sweet Fairy collection....Susana recently got some NEW Prima paper pads in that are FABULOUS!  Click -->HERE<-- and scroll down to go and see them!
This cutie pie is Wish Upon a Star who is a part of the fantastic Sample Edition #5 Collection by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD.  I am ashamed to say that I never got the chance to ink her up until now.  Of course she was colored with Copics, and accented with pastel pencils, cut out with a SB circle and popped up on a SB scalloped circle which was then accented with pearls and layered on top of cheese cloth.
I absolutely adore this sentiment, which I computer generated and cut out with nesties.  Flowers have been dazzled up with Diamond Stickles.
And an angled view to show you all the dimension of the plaque!  I hope you have enjoyed my altered creations!  I can't wait to make another altered wooden plaque now :)

♥ Thanks for stopping by! ♥

Merry X-mas and Happy New Year

Hej ladies!

I'm surprising myself with starting this early with my X-mas cards this year. Normally I don't get into the X-mas mood until end of November early December. It must be these cute new images by Sylvia that's having that affect on me :-)

This time I inked up Hope with Memento Rich Cocoa and coloured her with my copics.

Card recipe
Embellies: Pearls and charm from stash. Ribbon and lace from my stash as well.
Sentiment: Swedish one saying Merry X-mas and Happy New Year

Hope you like her as much as I do.

Hope for You!

Have you seen the ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE new images by Sylvia Zet for SCACD?  I mean, really REALLY adorable!!!  Below is one of my faves...  She's called Hope.  She's wearing Pink in honor of Breast Cancer Survivors and in remembrance of those who have ended their battle...  Please accept my heartfelt prayers of hope and healing if you are one of the courageous women currently fighting or have fought this horrible disease. Or maybe your life has been touched by another who has gone through the pain and suffering... You have also gone through pain and suffering, so my heart also goes out to YOU!  There IS hope... I promise!!!

This little beauty is colored with copics:  E18 E17 E15 E13 E11; E49 E59 E25 E53; RV25 RV23 RV21 RV10 RV00; G28 G21 G40; E50 E00 E25 E53.  The awesome Gold on the hope chest is Gold Glitz Glamour Dust Ultra Fine Glitter Paint.  The more coats you apply, the sparkly-er it gets!  LOVE my Glamour Dust Paints!!!  Susana has a TON of fab colors to choose from... just in case : )

I have defo fallen in LOVE with Hope!  Can one truly fall in love with an image?  I think so, but we are so fickle lol.  Another one comes our way and we are in LOVE with that one!  More Glamour Dust on her wings... this time it's Ice Crystal.   Did ya notice the pink and creme pearls peeking through?  Another absolute fave product I can not do without... I use it all the time - Susana, I hope that you will always carry these amazingly fun Viva Decor Paper Pens!!!  I know that some of you prefer the Pearl Pens, but for some reason, my Paper Pens seem to make the best pearls for me...

Pretty simple as far as design goes...  I wanted the dp (which is Webster Pages from a Triple Pack Collection) to shine through.  I've used my oval and scalloped oval nesties for layering the image paired with a sweet doily.  I don't think I'll ever get tired of doilies - don't you just love em?  I'm also on a Scroll Roll ha ha.  You know by now that it's a Memory Box Die called Elegant Scrollwork.  The beautiful flower resting on the scroll is a Prima flower, but I don't see it in the shop anymore.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  See you soon with another beauty by Sylvia Zet for SCACD!!!

Love and blessings~

Birthday Gift!

Hi All! I'm back with "Loli and Shellie"!  I love this image!  It is part of the "The Adventures of Loli & Friends" set by Sylvia Zet for SCACD.  I reused a black Sephora box to make a birthday gift box.

Loli and Shellie was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic Sketch Markers.  Smooch Illuminate was brushed over Loli's dress.  Diamond Glaze was applied over Loli's sandals, Shellie's shell, and their eyes.

The patterned papers are from the gorgeous My Minds Eye "Lost and Found 2 - Rosy" paper pad. Black Soot Distress ink smudged all over paper edges, lol.  Spellbinders Nestabilities Circle dies were used to cut out the image and for the backing. Zva Creative Clear Rhinestones were colored with Copic Sketch Markers and attached to the image.

Side of box - The red flower is a Prima Delightful Day - Glory and the gorgeous green flower is a Prima De Soie - Suffolk.  Elegant thin scrolls were made with my Memory Box "Elegant Scrollwork" Die.

-------------------------------------------------------
Don't forget to stop by SCACD and check out all the new goodies Susana has added (she keeps adding beautiful stuff...faster than I can buy them, I tell you, lol).

You have got to see all of the gorgeous new paper pads (I'm talking LOTS of paper pads), new Stamps, stunning embossing folders and awesome Memory Box Dies!!!

Have a GREAT week, all!

PRECIOUS PRESENT

Good Morning! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. The weather here is now starting to feel a little like fall even though it is 90 degrees.

I tell ya, everytime I do one of the Sylvia Zet images I fall in love all over again. This image is PRECIOUS PRESENT FROM THE ADVENTURES OF POPPY AND FRIENDS.

Of course, she is colored with Copics. Hair: E30-35-57-59-YR21, Skin: E0000-E000-E02-E11-R20, Dress: BV0000-01-02-04-31, RV0000-55-63-66,Gift: Y23. Her wings, headband, and flowers are accented with Stickles and Kaisercraft Pearls.

I know this card is kinda frilly, but with 4 granddaughters one of them will like it. I got a little carried away with the all the gold around the image, but it turned out okay. The MEMORY BOX ELEGANT SCROLLWORK DIE is used around the image and flowers. I just cut it up to suit my purpose. I used the MEMORY BOX VAL FLOURISH on the bottom. After I cut flourishes out I sprayed them and the flowers with MAYA ROAD IRIDESCENT PEARL gives them a really nice shimmer. If you click on the pic to enlarge it you may be able to see the sparkle.

Sweet Veritas

Good morning! I hope you're all having a fantastic week. I wanted to share a card with you today featuring one of the gorgeous new exclusive stamps that were recently released at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design. This is "Veritas" from the Adventures of Loli and Poppy collection by Sylvia Zet for SCACD. I absolutely love this entire collection of stamps...Sylvia is such a talented artist. :)

Sweet Veritas is perched upon a little snippet of a grapevine...isn't she lovely? I adore her tendrils of hair...so much fun to colour! The green paper is from Prima and the purple paper is from Basic Grey Kioshi. All the pearls were created with my Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen. These pearl pens are a fantastic money saver for crafters who love to add pearls to their projects. Just one Viva Decor Pearl Pen makes a multitude of pearls in whatever size you require. Susana sells the Viva Pearl Pens for only $5.45 USD, and they are available in a wide selection of colours. (See the entire selection of Viva Decor products available at SCACD HERE.) I also added some Make It Crafty lasercut chipboard embellishments. Susana has a wonderful selection of this fantastic highly detailed chipboard (and Make It Crafty Stamps) HERE. I painted these ones with white craft paint, sprayed them with some Glimmer Mist and topped them off with a generous sprinkling of Glamour Dust.

Veritas was stamped on Neenah cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and coloured with Copic markers.  Stardust Stickles were applied to the ruffle of her dress.

Skin: E000, E00, E11, R20  Hair: E50, E31, E33, E35, E37, E59  Dress: R81, R85, V12, V15, V09, C5  Grapes: V01, V12, V15, V09, C5, C7  Leaves: G20, G21, G85, G99, C5, YG91 (I added this over top to tone down the vibrancy and to create more of a "mossy" green)  Vine: E25, YG91, YG95, G99

The Adventures of Loli and Poppy collection is available exclusively at SCACD and at Quixotic Paperie for our friends in the UK. You also have a few options for purchasing these stamps: they are available for individual purchase, as two seperate sets of four main image stamps or as a complete set of all eight stamps. When choosing to buy the stamps as a set, you will be receiving them at a discounted price...and as an added bonus, there is an accessory stamp for each set that is ONLY avialable when purchasing the stamps as sets!

Merry Christmas, Little Princess!!

Hello and a very happy Tuesday to you!!! :o) I cannot believe it has been over a week since my last post!! Man, time has been getting away from me quicker than usual...must be the whole aging process I keep hearing about. :o} Speaking of time going by so fast...have any of you started your Christmas cards? Every year, I tell myself to start early...every year, I don't follow through. Yes, I'm LAME-O!! I don't even have an excuse...especially with all the incredible year round challenge blogs that focus on Christmas...yes, I am hanging my head in total shame. :o(

Today, that all changes! I decided to stop being Queen LAME-O and created a Christmas card. It is later than I should have started, but was very easy with no sunshine beaming through my windows and no scorching, hot weather to distract me. Honestly, the cooler weather we've had lately has helped me get into the cheerful spirit of the holidays...I've even started planning my holiday menus :o)

Seeing that I have a ton of things yet to do before this day comes to an end, I am going to have to see you later. Thank you bunches for dropping by for a visit during your busy day! I appreciate it more than you know. :o) Have a fabulous Wednesday!!

Blessing & Hugs,
Carolyn

Mizuki

I absolutely love this fabulously wonderful lady.  Her name is Mizuki. Such a lovely Japanese name for her.

After stamping and coloring her I pulled out the fabulous Chapter 1 by Kaisercraft.  The circle and sentiment are also from the pack.  There are several specialty sheets in the back with tags, borders, circles, strips, etc.  I just LOVE that about the Kaisercraft papers.  The sentiment reads 'Anything unattempted remains impossible.'

I hope you adore her as much as I do.  There are several fabulous Kraftin' Kimmie stamps at SCACD including the new Angel collection and, my favorite, some fabulous Halloween ones!

Get Inky!

A few cards to share...

I was in a sentimental mood this week as I worked on these cards~
I can’t even put into words how much Susana means to me. In December it will make 3 years since she asked me if I wanted to be a guest designer on her team. The rest is history as they say. She has encouraged me, believed in me and become one of my most special friends. She makes my {heart} happy!!

When I first found Susana’s store the stamps that lured me there were the Faerie Song Art Stamps. Even though I don’t play with them much anymore, they still are some of my favorites so I had to create a card with one them! This is the beautiful Bryony

As time has gone on, SCACD has expanded and grown to include SCACD exclusive stamps! I feel so fortunate and blessed to get to play with all these fabulous stamps! Of course it’s no secret that the Victoria Case for SCACD stamps are some of my favorites so I had to create a card using one of those stamps too! I used the fun, Thinking of You as she sadly hadn’t seen ink yet!

No secret I love fairies either so I had to use the recently released Fall Flora Fairies, I had to make one more card using one of them too! I used the beautiful Stargazer for my card today.

christmas fairy

hello everyone!

i hope you are all having a wonderful morning - I am enjoying the ever crisper fall-ish morning we have been having here in northern VA.

i just love the sweet little Fall Flora Fairies in the SCACD shop and i have Friendship Rose done up for Christmas today:

Love that rose dress she is wearing!  I used some gorgeous glittery paper from Best Creations Merry Christmas collection (susana has them in the 6x6 size for us of course!)  I also added my own pearl and glitter flourishes using Liquid Pearls Opal and Stickles Stardust.

I colored my image with Polycolor Colored Pencils.  I wanted to give her wings a bit of shimmer so i got a little Pearl Perfect Pearls and mixed it with water to create a thin paint which I painted on.  That is the thing i love about perfect pearls - it is so incredibly versatile AND has the binder built right in!

Susana is loading up the store with new goodies all the time - be sure to check back often!
hugs

A Present For You!

Happy Wednesday All!  How is your week going?  Have you gotten any crafty time in?  Today I have yet another cutie to share with you all!  Today I'm sharing Precious Present who is such a doll and a part of The Adventures of Poppy and Her Friends by the fabulous Sylvia Zet for SCACD!
I absolutely adore this cutie...wouldn't she be perfect for any type of party you are going too....bridal shower, baby shower, birthday....I love how these stamps have endless possibilities!  Papers are from the Echo Park Dots & Stripes Candy Shoppe and Echo Park Victoria Garden Collections.
Of course coloring was with Copics and pastel pencils...is there anything else....lol!  I've tried my hand coloring Gold, and I think it turned out pretty darn tootin' good!  Don't you just love it when that happens?!  Precious Present's eyes were glazed with Diamond Glaze.  Star Dust Stickles was added to her beautiful wings!  She was cut out with a SB Labels 3 and then that was edged in Diamond Stickles.

Surprise!!!

Hello friends : )  I'd like to share with you my card today which features 3 Wishes by Sylvia Zet for SCACD.  I've given her curly hair hee hee.
Such a look of wonder and amazement!!!  Isn't she adorable?  Did ya notice the stitching?  I used my NEW Sew Easy attachment (Zig Zag) and beautiful blue floss!  This time I only used three strands of the floss instead of the full 6.  I think I like it better this way because it's not so bulky - I'm used to using 3 strands for cross stitch {sew} it was a natural crossover! lol

I've used the following copics to color up this cutie:  B97 B95 B93 B91; E57 E55 E53 E51 E50; E35 E34 YR21 YR20; YR24 Y15 Y11 Y00 Y000.  For even more pizazz on the stars, I've painted Gold Glitz Ultra Fine Glamour Dust Paint on top.  For added dimension on the box as well as the flower centers in her hair and around the scallops, I've used my Ice White Viva Decor Pearl Pen.

The dp is a combination of A Beautiful Life by My Minds Eye and Julianne by K & Company.  Don't you LOVE the awesome scrolls?  I've used a Memory Box Die called Elegant Scrollwork.  I have never been so in love with scrolls before lol!  I'm totally serious though : )  I've given them a splash of Gold Glitz Glamour Dust Paint so the cs shows through, but with extra ummppphh!  The gold edged blue flower is Sugar Blooms - Reflections which was given a smidge more Gold Glitz Glamour Dust Paint.

New Product Alert
I'm including just a sample of the yummy goodness you'll find...

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you enjoyed my card using 3 Wishes!

Love and blessings~
