Twinkle twinkle little star...

How are you all doing? Here we are totally snowed in..... It's been snowing in our area for over a week now so we can hardly see out of our windows. I promise to update my blog with some pics later. The weird thing is that - some parts - not more than 20 minutes drive from our area - doesn't have the same amount of snow as we have... So as I told my manager - I will be back in the office again in March ;-) Well - that's for the snow update today.

Over to my project - I altered a gift bag on our local craft event some weekends ago. The challenge was to alter the gift bag for X-mas, use a ribbon and at least one button. Here's the result.

I coloured little Bundle of Love with my copics. Added pearls, ribbon and flowers. Sentiment from the DP. Oh - and yes - I added a little stickle to make her/his outfit spark a little bit more.

Good Morning! Brrr it is cold this morning - 28 degrees. I was browsing through SCS and saw this treat card box and decided to try making one. I used "Flower Cheer" from the Elisabeth Bell Mini Winter Sampler. Actually, the "Bells of Joy" is a bonus stamp from the Victoria Case for SCACD Mini Winter Hearts and Hugs Set.


The transparency was reflecting on my camera lens so I was having a hard time getting good pics. Isn't this paper gorgeous? It is the Basic Grey Jovial which is on sale right now. The beautiful White Velvet Poinsettias by Petaloo really set off the treat box these are also on sale.. Inside the treat box is Godiva Chocolate. My daughter is a chocoholic. The image is colored with Copics and I added a little Stickles on her shirt and the bells.

Old Fashioned Christmas

Today I have an Old Fashion Christmas creation to share with you all!  

I've tried to add a Victorian twist to my card...but I think it came out more Old Fashioned but I guess that works!  LOL!  When I sat down to create my card I immediately knew I wanted to use one of my SCACD Carmen Medlin stamps...I absolutely love the "realness" in these images and Winter Walk is the one that I thought would be perfect for this card.  I love how these images can be used for any occasion, including Christmas!  Papers are from Bo Bunny Noel Collection.  I love the vintage feel that the big snowflake gives....this actually was a floral pick that I picked up on a shopping excursion the other day.   Pearls in the upper right hand corner were made with my Viva Decor Gold Pearl Pen (these lovelies are on sale right now...so it's a great time to stock up!)

 Winter Walk was colored with Copics.  I've used my SB Labels 14 to cut her out....and while the image was still in the nestie I took my Ranger Inkssentials blending tool and Brilliance Gold ink and blended the gold around the image.  Love the antiqueness this adds to the image.  Plus the ink gives a lovely subtle shimmer.

 Flowers have been shimmered with Iridescent Gold Mist and then sparkalized with Gold Stickles.  I hope you have enjoyed my Christmas creation!  I know there will be many more Christmas cards in my near future to share with you all too!

Ski Bunny--SCACD Style!!

Happy Thanksgiving and hope you all are having a fabulous weekend!!  Well, we are officially in ski season it seems in some parts of the US and Canada, hee hee so I thought this card was quite appropriate!  I used a super cute NEW winter image from Victoria Case for SCACD called "I Heart Powder"!!  Isn't she a cutie?  And great for winter birthdays, events and the holidays!  See bottom of this post for the **SUPER SALE INFO** happening at SCACD!!

I think she's such a cutie and I had great fun coloring her to match these awesome papers from Bo Bunny called "Winter Joy"!  I LOVE this color combo--so cool and fun for winter!  TIP: To make the fun frame around my image, I punched bunches of snowflakes (outta my lilac cs) with my MS snowflake punch and cut them all in half. Then I put glue on the back of my image (oval) and added the halves of snowflakes around the oval frame evenly!  Makes a cool border around the oval frame I think!  The scrolls are from a EK Success punch and then I added stickles to each for sparkle.  The sentiment is from PTI--love the saying!

She got colored with Copics (BG72,BG11,BG10/V000,V12,V15) and then I added that cool Sparkly Fluff to all her fur trim (new color called daiquiri ice--love it)!!  Then I added diamond glaze to her boots and skis--the other white snow was done with my fave MS snow glitter.  I added a bit around the image for a snowflake effect!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!

Well I guess ALMOST Thanksgiving - LOL I am ready to hunker down with food and family and yes not necessarily in that order hee hee :o)

I just wanted to let you know that in order to truly enjoy the Holiday that the Store will be closed from noon the 24th until November 26th (California Time). Re-opening on the 27th with some fun sales.

While the store is closed feel free to browse around (who knows a New item may pop up) though you will not be able to place items in your shopping cart until the 27th.

As most of you know by now I like to be in the moment for special holiday events with my family ie: Thanksgiving and Christmas

I know you ALL would be patient and wonderful to wait for your orders but you know I like to get them out ASAP. So this way no peeking at the computer or BBerry to see what is coming in as I love what I do - Maybe to much according to Hubs - LOL

Se upp i backen!

Hej!

I know that you are preparing for Thanksgiving - that's one of the traditions I wished we would have in Sweden, but nope..... So please have fun, spend time with your families and loved ones +EAT a lot :-)

Here we have tons of snow and more to come. So I think that it could be a winter just like the previous one where we even got our own little ski-slope ;-)

Today I want to show you a card that I made last weekend at our local scrapevent.

So with all this snow around me - I got the inspiration to colour the new stamp from the Elisabeth Bell Mini-release - called Look out below and in Swedish we would say: Se upp där nere - but normally we shout "Se upp i backen" (backe = slope).

I coloured her with my copics. DP from my local craft shop. Sentiment God Jul = Merry X-mas in Swedish - from a DP. Pointsetta to be found here and then I purchased the "swirls" or wires at our local craftshop. The snow is of course Flower soft - Polar White :-)

In The Moment

I've been itchin' to ink up the new "Never seen before" Victoria Case for SCACD image, In The Moment. I just smile everytime I see this image!

I thought the Basic Grey Max and Whiskers would be perfect with this fun image. I cut the image out with a nestabilities die and then it dawned on me that I had meant to mask this image and make clouds and grass....next time!

Of course I had to have some sparkle so I used my copic glitter pens to add some sparkle to some areas.

First Signs of Fall

I really wanted to ink up the Carmin Medlin for SCACD stamp, First Signs of Fall, so I thought this would be the perfect time. Even though it's called the First Signs of Fall, I decided to make it more of a wintery/holiday card. 

I used the very pretty Memory Box Spiceberry papers and since one of them had little polka dots I paper pieced the coat with that. To help the details stand out more on the paper pieced coat, I went over them with my Copic multi-liner. For her dress I used my fav Creative Inspirations Paint in Autumn Wheat so it would have some shimmer.


I added some of my fun new flowers from Petaloo~ Mixed Rose Leaves and Velvet Poinsettias. My doodles around the image are done with a gold copic glitter pen. To finish the card I just added some gold pearls from my stash.

Snow Fun!

On my card I used the beauitful image called Sow Fun by Victoria Case for SCACD - Mini Winter Hearts & Hugs set, released at SCACD earlier this week. Colored with Prismacolor pencils. Cut her out with Spellbinder Nestabilities. I added some Kaisercraft pearls, and Magic Mesh, Dottie Ann.

I apologize for the bad lighting of the photos, indoor light is not the best, I know, but it's a dark winter morning outside, still some time before daylight comes on my porch...

Powder Anyone?

Don't you just love Victoria Case images? This is the MOST FUN set ever!!! I had a very hard time choosing, they are all so adorable : ) Thanks, Victoria ♥ I finally narrowed it down to I Heart Powder, from the mini Winter Hearts and Hugs Set by Victoria Case for SCACD.

Isn't she a beauty? I know she looks cold in all that snow, but she's safely bundled up and ready to hit the slopes! The 'powder' is Polar White Flower Soft. She's even kicked up some of it on her shiny boots which have a coat of Diamond Glaze over them so her feet don't get soggy lol!

She's colored with my usual copics: Skin - E11 E21 E00 R20; Hair - E35 E34 YR21 YR20; Ski pants/jacket - B02 B01 B00 B000; Boots/Gloves - C9 C7 C5; Red accents - R29 R27 R24. The cozy fluffy detail on her ski attire is Sugar Sparkly Fluff. It was a snap to use over my Quickie Glue pen. You can get in the smallest areas with this pen. I LOVE it!

Here's a closeup of attempt snowflake #2. Here's the deal... I tried to use a die cut with a piece of clear material. It wasn't a transparency, but much thicker. After going over it about 4 or 5 times, it left an impression, but didn't cut through...SO...I just cut around it with scissors. Hence... my poor attempt #2 as well. I am being brave to show you this lol!!! The clear sparkly material over the entire snowflake is Twinklets Diamond Dust. Then I adhered a snowflake button in the center and covered it with Stickles. Other than the shape, I am fairly pleased with the way it looks...

Happy Holidays Everyone!!!

I cannot believe we are in the home stretch of the holiday season!!! Unfortunately in California it is hard to see the changing of the seasons except when I go from short sleeves to ¾ sleeves brrrrrr hee hee :o) I know we are ALL busy trying to work and prepare for one of my favorite holidays, Thanksgiving!!! I have a lot to be thankful for and feel truly blessed with the family I have, my dear DT aka Sisters to me for sure, the BEST customers any store owner could ask for, and health :o) It does not take much to be happy really family and friends are what it is all about, though crafty products never hurt :o) My holiday wish for everyone is that the economy gets stronger so family providers are able to continue to work or find work so their families can feel safe and comfortable once again :o) When it does turn around remember those that are still struggling and reach out as every little bit helps!!!

I'm really not much of a shopper unless it involves crafty goodies..hehe! 

Another image from the release on Monday at SCACD. This time one of the Victoria Case for SCACD Mini Winter Hearts and Hugs stamps, Shopping Buds. 

I'm picturing that they are going to all the scrapbook/stamping stores to buy lots of goodies for their friends. I used my Crate Paper Snow Day Collection for the fun papers.

In The Moment

At SCACD there is a fabulous section under the artists Victoria Case and Elisabeth Bell.  They are "never before seen" stamps.  These are singles that periodically get released just because they are so awesome!  I got my hands on this one from Victoria Case and I LOVE it!  It is called "In The Moment".  I think the balloon with the happy face is wonderful and the bandaid one the girl's knee, perfect touch!

I stamped the image using Momento Tuxedo Black and colored it in.  I selected colors that coordinated with the Basic Grey paper I used.  This image was super fun to color and I can think of a BUNCH of occasions it will be perfect for!

Snowball Fun!

I've seen some nice cards around, stamping and coloring on kraft paper using colored pencils. I wanted to try it too, and here's my first attempt. I like how it kind of pops up from the paper.

This sweet girl is one of the new stamps released yesterday at SCACD. It's called First Snowball of Winter from the Mini Winter Sampler by Elisabeth Bell.

I added some snowflakes (MS punch), ribbon, a tan Prima Hydrangea, a rose, some KaiserCraft Rhinestones, and of course some beautiful Stardust Stickles.

Welcome to a new TIOT! The TIOTs as of today and during December will be all "Free style". So that will be fun to see what each of the DT girls will come up with.

I knew what I wanted to do - colour the new little stamp "In The Moment".

I wanted the image to be in the center - so not too much bling, bling..... Just a few buttons and the sentiment saying Happy b'day in Swedish (from Aud Design).
