Another Switcheroo!

I am rejoicing today that Jesus is my healer and I am so very thankful for all He has done for me ♥  Today's card is in celebration of Thanksgiving - how timely!  So this week, Suzanne challenged us to use any Elisabeth Bell or Victoria Case for SCACD image and turn it into a holiday card.  My switcheroo uses Go Green by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD.

Here she is in all her 'fallness.'  She loves to celebrate Thanksgiving too!  As a matter of fact, she loves EVERY holiday.  She would be a lovely addition for your Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter or even Birthday cards.  This is one unlimited lady I tell ya lol!

I've colored her with my fave copics of course...  Here's the list:  E37 E35 E34 E33 E31 E30; E50 E51 E53 E57; E35 E34 YR21 YR20; E11 E21 E00 R20; YG45 YG41 YG0000.  I know... that a lot of browns!  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!  I've accented her with Stardust Stickles for a touch of sparkle...

What would a card be without another of my most fave products?  I don't think it's possible to have too much of this stuff lol!  I've used Moss Green Paper Pen for the half pearls.  Have I told you lately how much I LOVE Viva Decor Paper Pens?  I'm on my way to collecting all of the colors (seriously!) that's how much I LOVE em!

The sentiment is from Our Craft Lounge - Shades of Fall.  These are very good quality clear stamps, and the set has quite a few sentiments as well as a number of leaf stamps.  This is a great time to buy this set!

**BLOG CANDY ALERT**

Have you entered to win yet???  See full details above...

See ya soon my lovely friends.  You know that I love you ♥

Love and blessings ~

Making Christmas and upcoming blog hop

Good morning everyone : )  Or afternoon, or evening.  My usual posting day is Tuesday, but Susana is on a much needed vacation, so the store has been closed for a few days.  Starting today (Sunday) the store is once more open for your shopping pleasure, lots and lots of fantastic goodies all ready and waiting to find a nice home : )

Before I get to our new challenge I wanted to remind you that we have a new release coming up this week, "The Girls Are Back In Town," with of course a fun blog hop for you!  Also, there is some pretty cool candy being given away, make sure to visit the blog (click here) for details.  The release/blog hop is scheduled for Thursday, September 30th, make sure to mark your calendars!

Now, onto the card/project for this week. The DT was challenged to use an existing non-Christmas stamp to create a Christmas project.  I choose one of my favorite stamps from Elisabeth Bell, "Friends," and this is what I came up with:

From 2010-09-21

I colored the image with Copic markers, cut the image out and mounted the image on two layers which were cut out using nesties.  I also ran my card stock through the cuttlebug to emboss the background and then used some distress ink to add some depth to the background.  Here is a close up of the image:

From 2010-09-21

Don't forget to check back here on the 30th for our fun blog hop, and make sure you enter your name for a chance to win some blog candy.

Take care and see you back on the 30th : )

From Winter to Fall...

This week the SCACD design team were to use a stamp for a different occasion than what it was meant for. So I chose this beautiful girl from the Winter Wonderland collection by Victoria Case, it's called Cocoa Puff, colored with Prismacolor pencils. I altered it a little bit to fit my autumn card. I put Flower Soft where there is snow, and a Prima flower where the poinsettia is. The circle tag is by Catslife Press. The patterned paper is shimmering so nice IRL, doesn't show in the pictures...

Today the SCACD shop will open again, the maintenance is finished.

Try It Out with a "T" #85

We skipped posting our Try It Out with a "T" challenge on Tuesday this week as Susana had the store down for maintenance and so she could take a wee bit of time off. But we're back now and ready to go!

Our challenge this week is Switcheroo--take an image that isn't a holiday image and make it usable for fall or winter holidays.

I decided to use the Elisabeth Bell for SCACD image, New Friends, and made an autumn card.

supplies:

LEAVES ARE FALLING !!!

Good Morning,

I hope all of you are having a wonderful weekend! This stamp is "Autumn" from the Victoria Case Hearts and Hugs Collection #2 for SCACD. This stamps set is one of my favorites - actually, they all end up being my favorites. I took this picture from a different angle to try and capture all the details.

As you can see, I almost didn't have enough room for my sentiment - but I made it. (YAY) The squares are from the Maya Road Foundation Chipboard Set.
I punched out the square and painted it and then stamped my sentiment. I save the outline of the square to use later on. The leaf is one that was in my stash and I added stickles to give it a lift. The image is colored with Copics and again I used stickles for accent. The leaves have a wonderful glossy shine from the Diamond Glaze I used on them. The ribbon is also from my stash and the bow was made using the Bow Easy with a pretty little rose in the center.

Thank you for stopping by.

Just a little reminder - Susana has lots of new products in the store and getting more and more.

Hugs,

Howdy - and Happy Halloween!

This week we were challenged to do a bit of a mix up with the Elisabeth Bell or Victoria Case images exclusive to SCACD. The challenge was to use an image for a holiday or season not originally intended. The image Howdy lent itself perfectly to this challenge! Living in the West I see a LOT of cowgirls and cowboys at Halloween!

I stamped the image with Momento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored it in with markers. The paper and label are from the Kaisercraft Le Chateau paper pack.

I used the Viva Decor Pearl pen in black to make the pearls on the card and the tag.

Don't forget the BLOG CANDY and super fabulous FUN coming up at the store later this week!!!!

Get Inky!

Switcheroo!

Today the TIOT challenge is to use any Elisabeth Bell or Victoria Case for SCACD image and make it usable for an upcoming Autumn or Winter holiday (holiday stamps excluded of course ;-)

I decided to colour Fab Friends with my copics and added a few baubles. DP from SU.

However I did not only want to make an Autumn card - but also a card to hold mini-candles - maybe to go with your Thanksgiving gift or for any housewarming party you might attend this Fall? This is how the set looks like:

Hope you like it. Please note that the SCACD store will be open until 5pm PST today and re-open for business Sunday the 26th. This is due to Web Maintenance. You can browse the store of course during this period, but knowing Susana very well - I'm sure that she will have some news in store for you soon - wink, wink :-)

Kramis and looking fwd to hear from you,
Anki

Pergamano Cuties

Happy Monday...I hope you all have a wonderful week!  Today I have some fun Pergamano creations to share with you!

When I first saw these cuties at CHA I immediately fell in love with them!  And now Susana is carrying in her store!  YAY!!!  You can find them -->HERE<--!  Oh my goodness I love how cutie these stamps are...there are different fairy stamp sets, as well as little girl stamp sets and even a christmas set!  I love how these sets come with 3-4 main images and then a bunch of accessories (usually birdies and bunnies!) Super cute...you have to check them out!  This first card showcases one of the Fairy Stamps!  Papers are from Prima Fairy Flower collection, I love these papers, the designs are gorgeous!
My cute fairy has been colored Copics and accented with a white gel pen.  I've used the TonerTex Pen and Glitters on this cutie's bow and ribbon tails, and also around the edge of the circle.  Illuminate Smooch has been added to her wings to make her shimmer and sparkle even more!  You can never have too much sparkle!!! Right?  Then to add even more sparkle I spritzed the whole card with Tsukineko Sheer Sparkle Spritz!

Now for my 2nd Pergamano Card:
This cutie is from the Flower Girls Collection.  Papers are from Deja Views Fresh Print Pear collection...I loved the purple, blue and lime green combination.....very different for me!  Mini roses have been sparklized with Illuminate Smooch.
This little girl was colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen.  The dots on her dress got jazzed up with my TonerTex pen and Foils, I used the silver foil to add some shininess to her.  My Viva Decor Cream Pearl Pen was used on the springs within the little girl's flower bouquet...loved how I was able to obtain the teeny tiny pearls that I needed.  SB Blossom dies were used to cut out the image.
Of course I can't tie I bow to save my life, so I've used my Bow Easy, to make this beautiful bow!  That Bow Easy sure does make bow making sooooo easy and fun! I hope you've enjoyed my Pergamano fun for today!
♥ Thanks for stopping by! ♥

TIOT #84 - Not a Square

Happy Weekend!

I hope you are having some fun this weekend!  I finally got my TIO*T* card done for this week! YAY!  Suzanne has challenged us to create a card that is ANYTHING BUT A SQUARE!  Oh I love making fun shaped easel cards!!!  So I grabbed my SB Labels 11 and went to work!

The cutie on this card is one of the new Animapeeps from the newest Elisabeth Bell for SCACD collection....her name is Just Ducky.  Speaking on NEW....I have a bunch of NEW goodies on this card!  The wonderful papers are from the Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather collection.  These papers are so beautiful....there are gorgeous holiday papers in here as well as papers that can be used for any occasion, like those that I've used on this card.  And my FAVORITE new tool  that I have used on this card is the Epiphany Crafts flower button maker!  See those oh so cute flower buttons....I made them myself with the papers from the Mitten Weather Cosmo Cricket collection!  I love how easy it was to make buttons that matched my project perfectly!  These makers are a dream to use, SUPER easy, and MEGA fun!  I think it took me less than 2 minutes to make both customized buttons!  You seriously need to get one of these!  I can't wait to use my solid round one now! :)

Isn't Just Ducky so adorable?  She seriously is a dream to color!  I've colored her with Copics and and then accented her with my TonerTex Pen and have used Diamond Glaze on her eyes.  I've used the TonerTex pen and Glitters on her hair bow and boots.  Then this sweetie's umbrella was accented using the TonerTex pen and Foils.  Love the holographic foils, they are so gorgeous!  Here you can see a close up of the Epiphany button too!

The bottom of the card holds a sentiment so this card can be used for any occasion, and again showcases the Epiphany button!

Finally, a side view to share the dimension and shine and glitz with you.  The umbrella has been double popped up so that it sits higher than Just Ducky.  I hope you have enjoyed my Anything But a Square card!  I hope you come back soon, as I have some more goodies to share with you soon!

♥ Thanks for stopping by! ♥

Lockhart Stamp Company - 3 Pumpkins

Behold - my very first Lockhart!  I've loved the style of their images for a while, but never got round to playing with any.  Now, I'm in love!  Haha!

I'm a little pumpkin obsessed right now, so this was the perfect stamp for me to play with - 3 Pumpkins.

Coloured with Copic Markers:

Pumpkins: Y15, YR02, YR07, R39 Grass: G0000, G82, G85 Sky: B0000, B52

Those gorgeous papers are Basic Grey Ambrosia.  The beautiful bow was tied with ease using the Bow-Easy template and topped with a Prima Gem Centre.

You can find the stamp I used at Susana's Custom Art & Card Design along with lots of other gorgeous images by Lockhart Stamp Company. They have some beautiful new Fall/Autumn and holiday stamps!

Memory Box 6x6 paper packs, the Bow-Easy template and Prima Gem Centres are all available in the UK at Quixotic Paperie!

TIOT #84--2 Small Words!

2 Small Words

Isn't she just a cutie?  This is a new fairy stamp from a set by Pergamano called "Flower Girls"--I got my set while I was at CHA because I just fell in love with them.  But SCACD is now carrying them all HERE and you will want them I know--fun to color and squeezably cute!  My card is for this week's TIOT for SCACD--our challenge was to create a card that wasn't square!  Well I semi-obeyed the rules, lol by making an easel card with the main part of the easel round (that counts right?lol)!

I used some stunningly beautiful Prima papers here for the bottom of my card--I love the dreamy, watercolor effect they have.

She's colored with Copics (R05,R02,R00/G02,G00,G0000/YR24,YR21,YR20/hair E35,E31,YR20) and I added a few stickles to some of the flowers, her shoes and the large die cut leaves.  The leaf die cut is from another Marianne Designs die that I just got (omg how I lovee these)--if you have problems getting these delicate die cuts out of the die use WAX PAPER between the die and the paper so they pop out easily!  I used some flowers from Wild Orchid as well.  The large round die cut is by Marianne Designs as well and then I ran it thru my Cuttlebug Folder.  I love this new folder and everyone has asked me what it is but I have NO CLUE, lol!  It is a larger folder by Cuttlebug but I can't find it on the web anywhere--so if you know what it is, please clue me in so I can tell everyone 'kay?!!

The sentiment is from a beautiful PTI set called "Inside & Out-Thank You" and I just stamped half in my yellow ink and the other half in my dk orange ink to make the dual colors.  I love the mix of pastels, watercolors and fallish colors on this card and I hope you like it too!

Make sure to scroll down to see the rest of the DT's beautiful projects!!

hugz,

super cuppie!

hi all marti here!

i have been up to my ears in cake and my project is no different! i have been baking for a Splicoast get together this weekend and since our challenge was to make a shaped card i decided to keep with the cake theme and cut this card out with the Sweet Treats Cartridge on my Cricut:
i had an idea i wanted to try for the icing and i am loving the effect. i masked the *cupcake paper* portion with a couple post it notes and then *iced* with Viva Decor Modeling Cream. i used a plastic, angled pallette knife, smoothed it on, and then gently lifted it off of all the surface to make a texture. peeled off the post it notes and let it dry while i worked on the rest of the card. i used a big red button for the cherry on top and a spellbinders borderability (35% off right now!!!) with dots of light blue Viva Decor Glitter Liner to decorate the bottom.
my cute little image is the bonus image from the Aurora 2 Collection - you get her free when you buy the full collection! She is colored with Copics and cut out (a rarity for me). I adhered her with foam tape.

i hope you all have fun weekend plans!! hugs

Make a Wish for Try It Out *T*

Honest!  I really DID have my card done before I saw all the beautiful 'no square/rectangle' cards here...  It sure made me laugh though LOL!!!

For this week's Try It Out *T*, Suzanne has given us the challenge of creating a shaped card - anything other than a square or rectangle.  I defaulted to round lol!  I was thinking about making a baby bottle or apron shaped card, but decided to make this cute scallop shape instead.  It fits nicely in an A2 size envelope (thanks Suzanne for clarifying the A2 size hee hee).  I used the largest scallop nestie to create my card base.

I've used one of the ADORABLE fairies Susana carries in her store.  It is a clear Pergamano stamp which comes in a set of 3 fairies in addition to lots of little critter friends!  You can find it Here.  She's the perfect size and shape for this card!  Yipppppeeee :)

No surprises... yes, she's colored with copics lol!  Greens:  YG45 YG41 YG0000; Oranges: YR02 YR01 YR00 YR000; Browns:  E57 E53 E51 E50; Yellows: Y15 Y13; Hair:  E35 E34 YR21 YR20; Skin: E11 E21 E00.

After coloring, I gave her wings some bling with Viva Decor Glitter Liner as well as a few accent areas and around the scallop.  For a little extra pizazzzzzz, I added a portion of a rhinestone swirl.

These gorgeous papers are KAISERCRAFT Secret Bird Society Collection.  They come with die cuts too!  The original tag was larger...I just cut it down to size.  Don't you just love cute little things? If it's small, I always think it's cute lol!  Sentiment is from Stampin Up!, button and thread from my stash...

Have you joined us in the shape challenge this week?  You'll want to check out the delish eye candy over at Follow Your Heart where the SCACD girls have created some amazing inspirational pieces for you to enjoy!

Aurora with Tulips!

Aurora is such a wonderful character and I love being able to have stamps with her in all different poses and situations. This image is called Aurora with Tulips and is from the Aurora Collection. There is also an Aurora Collection 2 that is available with even more cute options!

I have really enjoyed making easel cards and decided it was time to do a round one! This uses the same basic design, you just make it round. Easy peasey! I paired the image with the new Prima paper called Fairy Flower. It is soooooooooo yummy!

I punched out leaves and flowers from the same pp and cardstock to decorate with. I created the pearl centers using the Viva Decor pearl pen in cream.

The glitter swirls are done by using the Crafters' Workshop template to draw pencil lines and then the Viva Decor glitter liner in hologram. After the glitter dots dried, I just went in and erased the pencil lines. Now, I know there are some of you that could have done those swirls free hand. For the rest of us, Crafters' Workshop Templates ROCK!
