3 times is a charm : )

Now, onto some stamping stuff!  This week we at the "Follow Your Heart" blog we have been challenged to use at least three products from Susana's store (Susana's Custom Art and Card Design), and this is what I came up with:
From 2010-08-23
And a close up of the lettering:
From 2010-08-23
The new Elisabeth Bell stamps are so cute, my daughter loves them and I made this card for her birthday (even though she is 25 she still loves cute animals). I actually used more then three products on my card: versamarkclear embossing powder, copics, viva decor, spellbinders and diamond glaze : )  I cut the "Happy Birthday" out with my slice (white cardstock), colored with copics (feathered the orange to red), then covered the letters with versamark and clear ep, heated the ep, then repeated a few times for a nice raised effect.

Don't forget to head over to Susana's store for some fabulous new stamps, can't WAIT to try these out.

3 products + stamp

Welcome to the last TIOT in August!
This time Suzanne would like us to use 3 products + a stamp from the SCACD store.
I decided to try to make a vintage and distressed looking card (almost for the very first time - those of you that follow me on my blog know that I'm a "colour girl" and love strong colours ;-)

I decided to use my Iris Collage stamp. Distressed the edges on the DP, Added pearls and Maya Road chipboard butterflies. Sentiment from my friend Tammi. I also used crackle paint on the distressed DP edges.
Hope you like it and will join us for the fun.

SPOT OF TEA

Good Morning!! Did you guys have a fabulous weekend? It was a little cooler (95) here this weekend and it was nice. Hopefully, the 100 plus days are over for the rest of the year. Don't you just love this new set from Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Animapeeps? I think this is one of my favorite sets - at least for now. (lol)

This image is "Spot of Tea". It reminds me of having tea parties with my granddaughter. She is 5 and loves to dress up and have a tea party. It is colored with Copics. I tried to give her a bushy tail. I did her blouse with the the Smooch Illuminate to give it a little shimmer. The teapot and cups have Viva Pearl Pen - Ice White on them to make them look like China, then I put Diamond Glaze over them.

The flowers are the Innoscence Collection - Carnation. They were white and I used my Copic to color them and then sprayed with the Maya Mist - Iridescent Pearl. These Mists are wonderful and spray so even. You can click on any of the pictures to enlarge them and get a better idea of the beautiful shimmer.

Please check out the other DT projects here. I am always amazed at the creativity and different styles used with the same stamp.

NEW STAMPS - Susana has in a new stamp line - Clear Acrylic Stamps by Pergamano from Europe. These stamps are way beyond being CUTE. Gotta check them out.

Hugs,

Try it out with a "T" #82

This week's challenge was a super easy one! Use 3 products from Susana's store as well as a stamp from her store!

I had to ink up another one of the new Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Animapeeps! They are just too cute!! I chose Spot of Tea to work with today. I thought it also fitting to use the Tea at Elsie's Collection of paper too! I used some Prima flowers and then colored them with my copic and then sprayed them with Psstt Shimmer Spritz. I used my Viva Decor Cream Pearl Pen for the little pearls.

Oh my word!! You MUST see the new stamp line that Susana is carrying now!! Way too cute! I can not wait to order these!
You can see the Pergamano Stamps- HERE!!!  Are they wonderful or what!!!

    Just Ducky!!

Today I'm excited because I get to share a brand new release from Elisabeth Bell for SCACD with you!  This new collection called "Animapeeps" is so cute and so different from what she usually draws--they will just steal your heart!

I get to show off this cuter-than-pie image called "Just Ducky"---let's all say awwwww! LOL!  I paired her up with some yummy papers that I just love by GCD Studios "Homespun".  The background was embossed with a newer CB folder and the fun sentiment is by PTI.  I used my fave Bow Easy on the bow and added some matching buttons to the top for fun!

This little cutie got colored up with Copics (R85,R83,R81/YG67,YG63,G20/Y11,Y00,Y0000) and then added some diamond glaze to her boots and eyes!  The polka-dots on her umbrella got a cool new treatment using a product called "TonerTex Foils"--then I put more diamond glaze just on the cute froggy umbrella eyes!  You basically use their special glue pen to attach their foils and glitters to anything you want :)--very cool and fun!  You can buy it all at SCACD HERE!

And guess what I did a video which you can see below on how to use these TonerTex products--once you use it, it's VERY addictive and the glitter is so stinking cool!

New Elisabeth Bell ~ Just Ducky

Yesterday was the relaseday of the new fabulous stamp collection designed by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD, Animapeeps. The super cute stamp I used is called Just Ducky, love her fun umbrella! A perfect image for the Out of the box technique using Nestabilities. Colored her with my Prismacolor pencils, the fun sentiment is by Inkadinkado. I used lots of bright colors to go with the saying about rainbows. Patterned papers are from BasicGrey, Kaisercraft and Panduro.

    Won't You Bee Mine?

Isn't she a cutie-pie?  This is another image from Victoria Case for SCACD Aurora 2, Bee Mine.  How do you like her outfit?  I used a different technique.  First I colored with copics.  Next I 'colored' with Viva Decor Glitter Liner.  Last I *gently dabbed* more copic colors on top of the dried Glitter Liner.  I also colored the scroll on top.  The scroll on the bottom has gold embossing powder sprinkled onto the Transparent Gloss Gel.  When that dried, I used my heat gun to emboss it!!!  Cool, huh?  There's so much you can do with the Viva Decor Products - I really LOVE em!  If you missed my Scroll Tutorial, you can find it Here.

For the ribbon, I just folded and glued, folded and glued and folded some more and glued some more lol!

Here's a close up of that gorgeous sparkle!

    TIOT #81--Zebra Fun!

Hello everyone and welcome to the Try It Out Thursday Challenge #81 this week!  It's been awhile since I've been here and I apologize for that--I've had tons of things going on and just wasn't able to get my challenge "on", LOL!  But I'm back and I'm super excited to share my card with you today!  If you visit my blog at all you know my craft room is tiffany blue and black with lots of zebra print (and my blog banner matches, lol)---so anytime I get to mix it up and create a project that looks like that I'm thrilled!

I FINALLY got to play with that awesome Dreamweaver Paste (in transluscent) and I was thrilled to death that it was so EASY and FUN to use.  I paired it up with this fun zebra print stencil by Crafter's Workshop HERE--you spread a thin layer of this paste on like icing a cake, peel your stencil up and let it dry.  Before the paste dried I added some bling to it with two colors of Martha Stewart glitter (tinsel glitter and extra fine--which is on SALE HERE).  I did my stencil right on my black cardstock so I'd still have those awesome zebra stripes.  The bling swirls are by Zva Creative and then I layered a few fun Prima flowers and topped them off with rhinestones. The sentiment is by PTI that I cut out with my SB's nestabilities "Labels 9" (on SALE 25% off HERE)--I traced the outline of the die onto my cardstock with my black Copic Spica pen for an extra frame and bit of sparkle.

Hope you enjoyed this fun animal print bling-a-rama as much as I did!  Try out some of these new products--they're EASY, FUN and FABULOUS and you won't be disappointed!

Now scroll down to see the rest of the DT's fabulous projects!

    TIOT #81 - Dreamweaver...PART TWO

If you've seen my post from yesterday you will know that the TIOT challenge this week is to use Dreamweaver Products.  Yesterday I shared with you my card and today I would like to share the cute gift bag that I made to go along with this card!
Here is the set together using the Aurora - Bee Mine from the Aurora 2 Collection by Victoria Case for SCACD.  Papers are from the Basic Grey Olivia Collection.
Aurora was stamped on the bag using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I've used Suzanne's wonderful Fabric Stamping tutorial.  I heat set the stamped image before coloring with Copics...remember if you are coloring on fabric to use a very light hand as the fabric soaks up the ink very fast.
The swirls were made using my Crafter's Workshop Swirly Q's stencil and Copic ABS to airbrush the swirl with colors to match Aurora.  Then I took my Viva Decor Glitter Liner in Hologram to outline the swirl to add some bling.
Flowers have been sparklized with Star Dust Stickles.  Then I took my Swirl punch to make some swirls to add to the flower arrangement and stay with the swirl theme.
Finally is the tag that uses the same Basic Grey Olivia papers.  I hope you've enjoyed my gift set!

Remember all Dreamweaver embossing pastes and micas can also be used with the Crafter's Workshop Stencils! :)

**Shopping Alert**  Susana is just rolling in the new products over at the SCACD store...and let me tell you she has some fun and wonderful things coming in!  Check out the NEW Spellbinders, and NEW Tonertex Pen, Foils and Glitter (this product looks AMAZING...I can't wait to try this out!).  Happy Shopping!

♥ Thanks for stopping by! ♥

TIOT #81 - Dreamweaver and Airbrushing!

Happy Thursday Evening everyone.  Hope you are having a wonderful week!  For this week's TIOT challenge Suzanne has challenged us to use Dreamweaver products...if you haven't tried out these amazing products you really need to.  They add a whole new level to your cards (especially with the embossing paste!)

Sorry my post is late today...went to dinner and a concert last night with my sister, and I must have ate something that didn't agree with my tummy because I was sick all day.  I'm finally feeling better so again I'm sorry this post is late!

Now onto my card for today...
For my card I used Aurora - Bee Mine from the Aurora 2 Collection.  Papers are from the Basic Grey Olivia Collection.  The double bow was made with my Bow Easy.
Aurora and her Bee friend were colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen.  The background behind her is made with my Dreamweaver Flower Lace stencil.  I taped the stencil with removable tape onto a piece of white cardstock.  Then I took my Copic ABS and airbrushed the stencil with colors to match the papers to create Aurora's background.  There really are so many uses for these stencils.
Flowers have been sparklized with Star Dust Stickles.

You can find other samples of my work using Dreamwever products -->HERE<--.  Aren't all the samples this week amazing!  There really are MANY uses for the Dreamweaver products!!!

**Shopping Alert** Susana has recently gotten some very yummy products in....NEW Primas, NEW Prima Paper, and NEW Prima stamps and stencils!  Happy Shopping!

♥ Thanks for stopping by! ♥

    Stencil fun today!

    hi all!

the hardest thing about our challenge this week was finally deciding on ONE idea as i had so many! i ADORE the crafter's workshop stencils susana has been bringing in and i am loving using them with modeling cream by viva and embossing paste by dreamweaver. for my project today i used one of the crafter's workshop stencils paired up with some dee-LISH champagne modeling cream by viva decor:

I used patterned paper to an oldie but goodie (and still one of my faves) - eva by basic grey. i went with a somewhat vintage-y feel with my crocheted trim. anyone remember the threading water punch we all thought we would die without (maybe that was just on the cricut message board...) - i used that for my border and then added some perfect little droplets of Carmine Red Paper Pen from Viva Decor. The paper pens have more of a glossy enamel look rather than a pearlescent or glittery finish.

For my focal piece i simply laid my stencil on my paper, gently smoothed the modeling creme acros the top like icing a cake and then lifted. Rinse your stencils right away! while still wet i sprinkled the center with a bit of Glamour Dust to add to the delicate pearlescence of the Modeling Cream.
To finish it off i simply placed a gorgeous mulberry flower from petaloo in the center. i am quite pleased with the results! This stencil comes with 4 different flower designs and the possibilities are endless as to what you can place in the center to personalize the look - nothing like a purchase of something you can use LOTS of times!
well i hope everyone has a fabulous weekend planned for them!
    hugs

    better blog siggy

    Fall Blessings

This is a very different kind of card from me today.  I've been experimenting with different products lately and decided to try the Viva Decor 3D Glitter Gel.  This is some cool stuff!  It's very easy (but messy) to work with.  Believe me, you won't mind the mess... it's so much FUN : )  I've used the Leaf Background stencil from Dreamweaver and Bronze 3D Glitter Gel from Viva to create the glittery background panel.  When it dried, I spritzed Smooch over the entire piece and wiped away the excess on the stenciled areas.

This is my Try It Out *T* card.  We were asked to use a Dreamweaver or Crafters Workshop stencil on our project along with Dreamweaver micas, paste, clay or Viva Decor Products.  This one really challenged me...  I broke out from my color palette comfort zone (again) and went with a Fall theme.

Leaves and sentiment stamps are from a new set I picked up from Susana at SCACD - Our Craft Lounge, Shades of Fall.  I was very surprised to see the quality of this clear stamp set.  It comes on a very sturdy mounting piece which is three hole punched to keep in a binder.  It also shows (in color!) the stamps in the set, so you don't have to figure out what the stamps look like!  That's so important with clear stamps.  Very very nice!!!  Susana has other sets from Our Craft Lounge Here.  Take a peek... you won't be disappointed!

The stencil works really well.  Here's a close up.  You can see that the 3D Glitter Gel only went where it was supposed to : )  It is raised and very textured!  There are lots of Dreamweaver stencils to choose from Here.  They are sturdy and excellent quality!  I have one with a teapot and teacup that I'm itching to use soon!  Susana has a number of videos for you to watch to get you started.  Go take a peek : )

If you like this color scheme, you'll want to check out my blog tomorrow.  I have one more up my sleeve using the scrolls I showed you how to create on Monday!

    Have a fabulous day!!!

    Boho Chic Tie Dyed

I love to get messy in the creative process. This week I did just that and I couldn't wait to share it with you!

There are some new templates by Crafters Workshop that I really, REALLY like at SCACD. The tie dyed one was a must have! (as was the zebra print one)

First think I did was spray my white cardstock with a couple of different colors of mists. After that dried, which did not take long at all, I placed the cardstock on some scrap paper and taped the template over the top. I then grabbed my white acrylic paint and a sponge and went to town. I am absolutely thrilled with the end result.

After that dried, I trimmed out a piece to use as the background of my card. Of course there was absolutely no doubt which image I HAD to use. Nothing else would work with tie dye nearly as well as Boho Chic from the Sampler Edition 2 drawn by Elisabeth Bell exclusively for SCACD.

After coloring up the image and cutting it out I set it off with some black swirls cut with my nesties. They needed just a touch of 'something' and Viva Decor pearl pen in white was IT.

I also decided that it needed a butterfly. This one is one of the chipboard Maya Road butterflies. I love the variety of designs and the size these come in. I used a sponge to cover the chipboard with the Viva Decor paper pen in white. I then sprinkled it with Dreamweaver Stencils Metallic FX in purple satin. After shaking off the excess and returning that to the jar, I rubbed the butterfly with my finger and this gorgeous pearly finish appeared. After it dried, I backed it with black cardstock to show it off better before adhereing it to the front of the card.

Now it is your turn to go do something with stencils. Don't be afraid to get messy. Just spread some newpaper around before you begin!
