Cute Lil' Sprite

Hello dear friends! On my card today I've used a brand new, and sooo cute little image, it's called Sprite from the Aurora 2 Collection by Victoria Case for SCACD, this collection was released just yesterday! This spesific image, Sprite, will not be sold as a single stamp, you'll get her as a bonus stamp with the whole stamp sheet.

I colored her with my Prismas, cut her out with Spellbinder Nestabilities. The beautiful flowers are Prima's Hydrangea, with a mini Prima rose in the centre. Kaisercraft pearls gives the butterflies a nice finishing touch. The sentiment is by Whipper Snapper Designs.

T.I.O.T #78 - New Friends

his week for T.I.O.T we were set the challenge of using an animal stamp. I ummed and ahhed for a bit before plumping for one of my very favourite Elisabeth Bell images - NEW FRIENDS (New Friends is available in the UK at Quixotic Paperie). I just love the sweet style of this stamp, and that hair is so fun to colour.

Papers are The Girl's Paperie - Paper Girl. I used Viva Decor Pearl Pen in Cream for the buttons on the girl's top, and Viva Decor Glitter Liner in Holo-Iridescent for the little flowers (Viva Decor Glitter Liner & Viva Decor Pearl Pens are available in the UK at Quixotic Paperie). And of course, the Bow-Easy for that yummy bow (Bow-Easy is available in the UK at Quixotic Paperie).

It's a Candle!!!

Good morning friends!  This week's Try It Out *T* is to use an animal stamp only.  I've used the adorable image from Victoria Case for SCACD, Hearts and Hugs Summer Collection, Teddi and Friend.

I stamped the image on tissue paper with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored with copics.  I've never colored on tissue paper before!  I did a little shading, but the colors are A LOT lighter than coloring on paper.  I cut around the image and used my heat tool to melt the candle just a bit so the tissue paper sticks.  I got to play with lots of Viva Decor!  Can you tell that this is my most FAVE product to use?  I was going for the 'mother of pearl' type look with the Transparent Gloss Gel.  I made the pearls and then sprinkled Glamour Dust on top.

You can see the Glamour Dust pearls a little better in this photo...  I've also given Teddi a Glamour Dust tummy and paw!  Flowers are accented with Light Blue Pearl Pen and Rose Paper Pen.  Using a MS punch and a scrap of paper from my stash, I glued and embellished the bottom border around the candle.

This was so easy... I've been wanting to do this forever!  Now I have to find some inexpensive candles and make some more : )

Teddi and Friend - TIO"T" Day #78

Our challenge this week on the Follow Your Heart Blog was to use an animal. I got a two for one with Teddi and Friend from the Hearts and Hugs Summer collection by Victoria Case exclusively for SCACD.

My favorite thing about this image is the way his tummy is the shape of a heart. It is all about the tiny details.

After stamping the image with Momento ink, so it won't run, and coloring it with my markers I put the card together using some of my favorite embellishments from SCACD.

The "brad" on the ribbon is actually created with the cream Pearl Pen from Viva Decor. It is SO much easier to just make my own brad and have it be whatever size I want right on the spot. No making a hole or worrying about the fold over part of the brad being visible inside the card. LOVE IT!

The butterfly is one of the Maya Road chipboard elements. I love that this set comes with both the open and solid shapes. They can be used together or seperately! For this one I used my finger to apply a couple of colors of acrylic paint to the chipboard. Once it was dry, I outlined the chipboard with a marker and then added some bling with the Viva Decor Glitter Liner in hologram. Viva me baby!

Happy Thursday Friends~

So today is Thursday....and you know what that means....TIO*T*!!!  This week's challenge is to use an ANIMAL on your card!

For my card I have decided to use Teddi and Friend!  Of course I had to make a gift set too! :) 

Here's Teddi and Friend again!  Don't you love this Teddi stamp?  I absolutely love him!  Papers are from the fabulous Memory Box Jubilee collection.  Sentiment is from the fabulous KK Goldilocks stamp set. Papers were edged in star dust stickles.

Teddi was colored with Copics.  As you can see the I've used my Viva Decor Ice White Pearl pen and added custom sized pearls to the scalloped oval.  Behind the scalloped oval is a Labels 11.  Illuminate Smooch has been added to the flowers and butterfly for some sparkle.

Flower Power

Hi friends!  I'm sneaking in a quick post...  I've just returned from a mini get away and I wanted to share with you my Flower Power card!  She's from Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Sampler Edition 5.  Such a cutie-pie!!!

The fabulous papers are from BasicGrey Olivia.  Flower Power is colored with copics, cut out and popped up with pop dots.  I've also added Raspberry Fizz Flower Soft to the flowers in her hand and on top of her head.  I love the way this looks.  Just enough to accent without being too heavy!

Those yummy pearls are Viva Decor Pearl Pen in Cream.  I'm about to share with you another first for me lol!  I mixed the pearl pen with Dreamweaver Mica Power in Pixie Dust to color the butterfly!  I see that it could have used another coat... but, oh well - that's how we learn!

Her belt and the flowers on her pants, as well as the edges of the butterfly, ribbon and mini roses got a huge helping of Viva Decor Glitter Liner.  LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff : )  The more I use it, the more I fall in love *sigh*

When is an animal not an animal?

When I do not read the upcoming challenge for the week and go ahead and make my project : )  This week the DT is supposed to use an animal stamp....and well, I didn't check until after I had already created my project, so for purposes of this post, watering cans can now be considered...."animals."

Here is my project for this week:

The box was lying around and I decided to use it for the challenge this week, adding a decoration to a very plain black box.  I am planning on using the box as a gift box for someone, and I love the clear window in the box.

I used the Viva Decor Pearl Pen to make all of the dots around the box, and also used the Viva Decor Glitter Liner for the centers of the flowers.  The highlights are also done with the Viva Decor Glitter Liner,  The watering can, butterfly and the leaves are all colored with Copic markers.  All of the products can be purchased at Susana's FANTASTIC store : )

And the stamp is from the "Hearts and Hugs" Victoria Case collection.

So, remember, if anyone asks you.....a watering can is an "animal" under....some circumstances.  : )

LOVE YA - TIOT #78

Good Morning!! Don't you just love little animal stamp? This is one of my favorite stamps. I would take home all the little dogs and cats if I could. This image is "A PUPPY IS LOVE" from the Victoria Case Hearts and Hugs Summer Collection.

The challenge for the DT this week was to create a project using an animal stamp. I may have cheated a little using this one, but it is so darn cute. The image is colored with Copics and I used a little VIVA 3D glitter gel on her shoes - a girl has to have a little glitz. Did you notice the mesh used on the background behind the image? I thought it added a little different look. The DP has a lot of texture and glitter. It is from the Kitchen paper pack. I know the little turquoise embellishments are flower centers, but they are pretty enough to stand alone. The wire ribbon bow was made with my Bow Easy and the card was finished off with a sentiment accented with a dog bone clip.

This picture is just taken from a different angle to show the different layers and dimension. I had so much fun making this card.

This TIOT is all about Animals! You should create any project using an animal stamp only.
So are we lucky to have this beautiful horse "Carousel Dreams" to work with?! I coloured him with my copics as always.

I also wanted to challenge myself with using colours that I normally don't  - and those of you that know me - you know that colour blue is not the first one I normally pick ;-)
I found the perfect DPs from my Kaisercraft stack.

Added a few flowers (that I got from my sweet friend Marlene a long time ago) and pearls. The sentiment is from Aud Design.

Giddy Up Monday!

Good Morning Everyone~

I hope your week is off to a good start!  In a few hours I will be driving to Chicago for CHA!  Woot Woot!  I am so excited I can't even stand it!!!! :) Today I have a fun creation to share with you before I leave.

For my card I have decided to make an easel card...it's been a while since I last made one and I love how these look!  Papers are K&Company.  I've been seeing quite a few people stamping their images on Kraft cardstock and then coloring.  I thought I would give this a go with my rustic/western theme.  

For my image, I've used Howdy from Sampler Edition #5 by Elisabeth Bell exclusively for SCACD.  I've pleated lace around Howdy and the outside border of the card loving how it adds girlieness to my western theme.

Howdy has been colored with Copics on kraft cardstock.  **TIP** One thing I have noticed when coloring on kraft cardstock is that you have to use darker shades of colors.  I wanted light pink but when I started coloring with the original colors I had picked out they didn't even show up on the paper...so make sure you use a darker shade for your wanted colors.  Howdy's belt and tops of her boots have been painted with Copic Opaque White and then gone over with Viva Decor Glitter Liner in Hologram.  The glitter liner was also added to the flowers on her hat and shirt.  Then Viva Decor Cream Pearl Liner was used around the scalloped Oval nestie.

Flowers have been sparklized with diamond stickles.

Here's the bottom panel of the card.  Sentiment is nested on top a Labels One die and scalloped oval.  The bow was created with my Bow Easy.

Corners were decorated with pearls made by my Viva Decor Cream Pearl Pen.  I hope you've enjoyed my creation...don't forget about the Blog Candy that Susana has available!!!

in the garden

hi all!
suzanne gave us girls a sketch to work with this week and i really liked it! all of the girls have done some wonderful things with it! i REALLY love the Collage Stamps susana has in the store from I Brake For Stamps so i used one of those for both my patterned paper and my focal image:
i have had an idea for the Crafter's Workshop templates in the store for awhile and i finally got a chance to play with them a little bit on this card. i started with off white paper and stamped my collage image on it but did not cover it completely. Next i laid a crafter's workshop template over it and misted LIGHTLY from a dsitance with Maya Mist - i think the effect is gorgeous! and quite simple too! also because i misted so lightly there was very little drying time for this! I also misted some of the white flowers susana has in the same way. It paired up perfectly with a piece from the Kraft Basic Grey pad.

My focal image is the same collage stamp which i cut out using a circle nestie and then mounted on the Eyelet Pendant. i added a prima pearl center to my flower grouping and then added some Viva Decor Cream Pearl Pen pearls around the Pendant. i finished up with 3 Robin's Nest Diamond Drops at the top center of the card.

The Maya Mists and Crafter's Workshop templates offer such a HUGE amount of creative freedom! i just LOVE them!

Susana is greatly increasing the altering fun over at the store and has created a section just for that so be sure to keep an eye on it as new products are added and we all stretch our creativity to the MAX!

T.I.O.T #77: Kraftin' Kimmie Charlotte Gets Sketchy!

This week for SCACD Try It Out Tuesday/Thursday we have a fab sketch challenge for you!

I decided to use one of my favourite images for this card - Charlotte from the Moonlight Whispers range by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps (Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps are also available in the UK at Quixotic Paperie). I just LOVE her hair.

I stamped Charlotte with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, and coloured her with Copic Markers.

Skintones: E0000, E000, E00, E11, R20, R21 Hair: E50, E53, E34, E35, E57 Oufit/Doll: BG0000, BG72, BG75, R81, R83, R85, B0000, B00, E30, E31, E34

Papers are from the lovely Basic Grey Olivia 6x6 pad (available in the UK at Quixotic Paperie). Ribbon from stash. Bow tied using the Bow-Easy Bow Tying Template (Bow-Easy is available in the UK at Quixotic Paperie).

As you may have guessed, those gorgeous glittery dimensional dots on the scalloped frame around Charlotte are Viva Decor Glitter Liner! Did I mention that I loved this stuff? I used Viva Glitter Liner in Hologram. Gorgeous and sparkly and it keeps its shape!!!

I've used Go Green by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD - Sampler Edition #5.  I know I keep saying this, but each time I ink up these stamps and color them in, I fall more and more in love with them!!!  She's colored with copics and accented with Stardust Stickles.  Gorgeous Raspberry Fizz Flower Soft adorns her hat and the flower pot in her hands.  The butterflies and flowers are detailed with Hologram Viva Decor Glitter Liner.

The image has been cut out with my Circle and Scalloped Circle Nesties.  Oh!  I almost forgot... those beautiful pearls... they were created with Viva Decor Pearl Pen in Ice White!  Don't they look fabulous?  I absolutely am in love with this product!  Oh... shhhhh... TIOT #77 - Swan Princess Fun

Hi Friends~


It's Thursday.....Are you ready for another TIO*T*?!  I'm very excited to share my creation with you today!!!  Not only have I used one of my brand new fairytale Kraftin' Kimmie stamps (which Susana now has at SCACD)....combined with the challenge this week I think this turned out amazing!  Don't you love when your creations turn out just as you have pictured in your head?  This week Suzanne has an awesome sketch challenge for us!

Here is the brand new Swan Princess and the sentiment even comes with her along with a cute swan and rose accessory stamps...this mini set is definitely worth the money!  When I saw this card that Elaine made I knew I had to have this beauty!  I've used Kaisercraft Gypsy Sister papers oh how I love this paper collection...I think these papers and colors scream "Kim!" LOL!

Here's the wonderful sketch that Suzanne has made for us to play with!  I hope that you will play along with us!

Swan Princess has been colored with my Copics, I used mainly BG colors and added B52 for a blueish tint to the teal/greens.  I've added eyelashes with my Copic Multiliner to make her look a little more girlie (after I saw my DT Sister Aud do this on one of her cards....thanks for the inspiration hun!)  This beauty has been cut out with the Oval and Scalloped Oval nesties.  The famous "Crissy Armstrong Dot Shadow" has been made with colors from the princess' dress.

The blue/teal flowers have been airbrushed with my Copic ABS.  The Gladioli Stem has been sparklized with  star dust stickles to add some bling!

Finally I have another angle to show you of Miss. Princess.  I've added Illuminate Smooch to her wings for even more bling!  I hope you have enjoyed my card! I can't wait to see what you make with the sketch!
