*****************************

There is a cool NEW product and it is a Fabulous line by Viva Décor.
You can find these fabulous products HERE!

Marti or “M” as I call her on my DT had been pounding me about this amazing new line of products and I was soooo I don’t know. However while at CHA I got to preview the line 1st hand and I must say was totally impressed!!!

I tell you what dropped my jaw first were the Pens. There are 3 of them the Pearl, the Paper and the Glitter liners. First can I say YAYYY to getting a product that gives you more for your money in volume. You get a healthy 25 ml tube of these babies. That is 3 ½ inches by ¾ inch tube of product!!! Secondly ever wanted to create your own flat half back skittles or what ever you call them, to whatever size you wanted and you can do this ahead of time and save them for later. Well with the Paper and Pearl pens as well as the Glitter liners you can do just that with the help of any non-stick sheet you may have around . Of course you can always apply them directly to what ever you are working on!!!

The videos that Marti and Suzanne have done will show you how. Now I am not into glass works but at CHA they had this amazing vase decorated with what is called Glass Effects and oh my stars it was gorgeous. The same size as the other pens but you use them on glass or plastic. OH and did I say the Pearl Pens can be used on material. I can hardly take it!!! These and several other products from the Viva line are at SCACD now and in the past have only be obtainable from overseas. So “M” I owe you on this one – LOL Please make sure to check out the videos and be WOWED!!!

Video Link by Marti HERE and HERE!

Video Links by Suzanne HERE and HERE!

**NEW**Glass Effects and Glitter Liner Video HERE by Suzanne!

Oh One more reason to be WOWED if you leave a comment about one of the videos on this blog post one person will win 3 pens!! Deadline is Sunday, Feb. 28th to enter!

Pearl Pen – Gold
Paper Pen – Cream
Glass Effects – Transparent

Now to ease your minds so you don’t hold off on getting some of these Fab products now. If you buy these above and end up winning the Blog Candy then I will refund you for the pens that were duplicated!!! Now nothing to hold you back from jumping in and having fun!

***************************************
Here is Marti Wills Testimonial:

“I LOVE experimenting and pushing products to the limit so when I first came across Viva Decor online I was VERY intrigued. I was also a bit skeptical. Particularly of the Pearl Pens - forms a perfect pearl with no flicking, swirling or other attempts to coax it into an even row of dome shaped pearls?? I signed up for several of their classes during CHA and as soon as I got to the show I made a beeline to their booth. The products are everything I thought and more! I went to ALL of their classes and was blown away by everything I worked with. I have been giddy with excitement waiting for them to arrive at SCACD and look forward to sharing the wonders of these products with everyone. And those pearl pens...YES they DO make perfect little dome shaped pearls!!”

Here is Suzanne's Testimonial:

"I had heard my pal Marti talking about how fab these products were, but when I saw the booth at CHA I was CONVINCED! I love that they are so EASY to use and so effective in making a statement in so many types of crafts. The pearl pens and glitter liners are my favorite--I love pearls, I love to make my own but even better you can use them on fabrics which I love! The glitter liners are so unbelievably glittery which is right up my alley, but they're also dimensional which makes them ROCK! The glass effects I've had a ton of fun with decorating some glass items I've had (video to come)--they are easy to use, a no-brainer for sure, even your kids would enjoy using these products!"

So Enjoy!!!

Memories for Julia

Happy Thursday to you all!

My sister Louise have been asking me for a very long time to make some memory boxes for her daughter Julia. We'll - I did not have any more excuses when I saw these supercute DPs from Making Memories. I had to have them and made 3 little boxes for Julia - to save her keepsakes in.
I made a matching card - featuring Young Cathrine with friends. Coloured Cathrine and the little chickens with my copics.
Added a Doodlebug ribbon and sentiment "Memories" from SU.

I hope that Julia and her Mom will like it ;-)

Also - hope you have not missed the new Spellbinders 2010 , Tsukineko Psst Spritz and new cute images from Pink Cat Studios!!

Do you want more? Well - I can't tell you anything today - but a hint is that you should be checking the store blog out tomorrow for a fun new product!

Try It Out Tuesday #56

Hi Friends!  Today the  Try It Out Tuesday Challenge for Susana's Store is to use a stamp from the store for a Holiday/Purpose other than what it's for!  So this NEW cutie by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD called "Oh Baby" just screamed out to me to be a 4th of July baby!  I had so much fun coloring her I tell ya!  The papers are all by Stampin Up and I used my Scor-Tape to create a ruffle with some sheer ribbon to match her skirt.  The 4th of July sentiment is from a Melissa Frances holiday set.

Isn't she a cutie pie?  She can be used for so many different occasions--I love stamps that are versatile like this!  Her shoes got some diamond glaze on them and then her socks, flower and shirt all got stardust stickles on them for lots of glitzy sparkles.  (Copics Used: R29,R24,R22,R20 & B39,B37,B32)

So I couldn't stop with just one, since I had all the supplies out!  I always like to try to do a couple of CAS (clean & simple) cards every month!  I used a fabulous Lockhart Co. stamp "IB Bite Size Cupcake" and stamped three out on my cs (see the cs I use for copics here), colored them and then added a fun NEW Product to the top for frosting (more on this new stuff on Friday)!  The cherries got dabs of diamond glaze, the white cs was embossed with a CB folder and then I added stickles to some of the lines to make it glittery!  This could be used for tons of things, but I like the clean lines of it!!

Make sure and scroll down to see all the fabulous DT projects!!

Suzanne

TIOT # 56 ~ Birthday Girl

A new challenge at the SCACD DT today! We were to use any holiday stamp, but use it for a different holiday/occasion than what it was meant for.
Well, I picke the cute I Heart ya image from the Sampler Edition 3 by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD. She is a Valentine's girl holding that heart, I think, but I used her for a birthday card. Colored with Prismacolor pencils, and cut out with Nestabilities dies. I added flowers, buttefrly and Kaisercraft pearls. The sentiment is by Whipper Snapper Designs.
Speaking of Nestabilites, you can now get the newest ones in Susanas shop!

Hello and a HAPPY Tuesday to you all!!!  Since it is Tuesday...you know what time it is:o)  It is time for a new Try It Out Tuesday Challenge.  This week, Suzanne has given us a Topsy Turvy Challenge...we are to create our cards/projects using a stamp from SCACD other than what the stamp was originally intended for.  I hope that makes sense...it would be like using a Christmas stamp for a birthday or a Valentine's stamp for an anniversary.

For my card, I chose to use Heartstrings.  It is one of the newly released stamps from Elisabeth Bell's Sampler Edition #3 designed exclusively for Susana's Custom Art and Card Design.  When I first saw this stamp, I thought...Welcome Spring!!  The time of year when we start planting our flowers and setting out the pretty birdhouses filled with seeds:o)  The time we welcome new life all around us and something I have been missing...SUNSHINE:o)  So, when I was trying to think up another use for this beautiful stamp I was a bit stuck.  Then it dawned on me...it would make a wonderful card for someone who is starting a new life in a new home, and here is my card...Congratulations on your new home!  The sentiment is on the card's interior...and goofy me forgot to take a pic of the inside:o(  One of my hubby's coworkers recently purchased a new home, and I am going to make a little gift basket for him and his wife.  I think I am going to add things that can be used to beautify the outside of their home like a basket of little flower pots, packets of potting soil and flower seeds, a little birdhouse, and some birdseed.  That is why I made up the little birdhouse...I'm gonna add some real birdseed inside it.  If you are interested in creating one of these little birdhouses, you can find the template HERE (Nichole Heady's birdhouse template).  It comes together VERY easily and takes no time at all to make...and the bonus is~ it is so darn cute!!!

I do hope you will be joining us this week...it will be fun to see your spin on this Topsy Turvy Challenge!!  I always need all the creative inspiration I can get...and I get SO much from all of you!!!  Have a totally terrific Tuesday, and THANK YOU for stopping by:o)

Hugs!
Carolyn

ENABLER ALERT!!!!  The NEW 2010 Spellbinders are at SCACD:o)  If you have been wanting to get your hands on any of these beauties...they are ready and waiting for you to give them a new home;o)

TIOT56 - Winter Susan For You

Happy Tuesday stampin' friends!! Today we have another fantastic Try It Out Tuesday challenge from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design to jump start your creativity! This week's challenge {TIOT56} is to create a project featuring a holiday stamp -- used in a different way or for a different holiday than it was originally intended! That Suzanne has some pretty cool ideas, doesn't she?! Here's mine:

In case you've been off the blog circut the last few days, I'll remind you that we are right at the beginning of a BEAUTIFUL new release from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design. Another amazing collection of EXCLUSIVE images, Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Sampler Edition 3!!

What a great set, such sweet little girls, with signature Elisabeth Bell details. I stamped this wonderful Winter Susan in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. Accents and highlighting with my new American Crafts white Ultimate Gel Pen. I decided to make her a birthday card for my "twist" today.

Next I added some of the new Magic Mesh {this is great stuff, thin and flexible, easy to work with for punching and die cutting, not bulky or stiff at all!!} over the top of my horizontal pink glittered panel to tone it down a bit and mimic the texture of the background piece. Worked like a charm!!

I couldn't stop adding embellishments to this card! EVERYTHING just seemed to call to me! I have several more basic Prima flowers, and I have added some Kaisercraft pearls to the green ones on the sentiment panel. For the upper flower set I colored the base flower to match Susan, then threaded through one of the Prima mini roses. I then sprayed the whole thing with Gold Glow Smooch Spritz to give it some oomph and keep up with my sparkly papers. So easy to get that little "extra"!

Let me talk to you about the Smooch Spritz for a minute. Two words: In Love. I have lots and lots of the Shimmerz Spritz, and I have played around bunches with the Radient Rain sprays that came before all of these. My honest opinion is that the Smooch Spritz is BY FAR the best! It mixes so well to get ready to use, and gives such a pretty, metallic shine when you spray. It does not come out clumpy or splotchy AT ALL, which has been my biggest complaint in the past. Nothing like ruining your finished product with a big glob of spray, right? You won't have that problem with the Smooch. Check them out here at the store.

Make it a good one today, we'll see you back here next week!

always good to have a good luck charm...

good morning all!
i am happy to report that we are currently getitng RAAIN and not snow here in northern VA!!!

Suzanne issued us a topsy turvy challenge this week - take a stamp and use it for a holiday OTHER thn what it is intended. FUN! it is ALWAYS good to look for additional uses for all your stamps.

i decided i really love Irish Eyes even though i would not normally send out st patty's day cards. Then i realized there are LOTS of times when i WOULD want to wish someone luck! and a person's first home is one of them:
i went with a green and brown theme and instead of the usual type of sentiment i printed off my favorite Irish blessing. the clover is cut with my cricut and run through my cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder. i added one of the super cute glittered buttons (found HERE) tied with scrappers floss to the clover and then a scrap of ribbon tied with floss to balance it out along with a few chocolate glittered skittles.

i colored my image with copics and used a green spica glitter pen on her clovers.
i think she is just darling!!
have a fantastic day!!!
better blog siggy

THANKS SO MUCH - TIOT #56

This little sweet girl "Winter Susan" from the new Elisabeth Bell Sampler Edition #3 for SCACD.

This card turned out much better than what I thought it was going to. Our challenge this week was Topsy Turvy - use a stamp for a different occasion than what it was intended. The layout is the sketch from this week's Friday Sketchers. The image is colored with Copics and the gift and patch on her pants are enhanced with Spica pens. Now to the good part. I have never used Magic Mesh before - it is good stuff. It has been around for awhile, but now it comes in different textures. I used it as a background, punched it out on blue cardstock for my flowers, and stamped and embossed the sentiment on it. How cool is that? The DP is from Nana's Kitchen pack and the cardstock is CTMH. I tore the blue cardstock and then inked the edges a little. Finished it off with Robin's Nest dew drops and a button.

I followed the same scheme and texture on the inside. The Magic Mesh comes in alot of colors even Pink.

Now, go check out the other DT samples here and let them know what you think. They have some really really fabulous and creative projects.

Susana has gotten in some really COOL stuff in the store. Don't miss out on any of the latest and newest items. There is the new Magic Mesh and BEAUTIFUL Robin's Nest flat back diamonds and mini drops. NO WAIT on the Spellbinders 2010 - they are now in stock.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and visit my blog. I appreciate it!

DON'T FORGET TO SIGN UP FOR MY BLOG CANDY !!!!

Hugs,

Congratulations!

Welcome to another TIOT! This week Suzanne wanted us to show the versatily of holiday stamps. Well - many of you might have thought that this cute little girl - Irish Eyes - only would be perfect for St Patrick's Day? Hm..nope..... I think she's so supercute that she would be perfect on any card.

I used her for a b'day card to my niece Victoria and she loved it!
I decided to make the layout similar to her top - hence the flower eylets and the scrappers floss as the ribbon. Made a cute little pin to got with the card.
Colouring: Copics
DPs: My Minds Eye
Embellies: Pearls, Mini-roses
Sentiment - Rub-on sent to me from my sweet friend Tammi
Kram and hope you like her as much as I do :-)

Try It Out Tuesday #56

Our challenge this week is Topsy Turvy! Use any holiday stamp but use it for a different holiday than it was meant for.

I just couldn't stop playing with the new Sampler Edition #3 by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD so I guess I didn't follow the rules of the challenge exactly. Hehe!
I decided to use Oh Baby! At first I thought of a new baby card but that didn't seem to far off from what she would normally be used for, so then I decided to make a Happy New Year's card with her...as a New Year's baby!! (okay, a dear friend helped me come up with the idea but I LOVE the idea!)

I had a really hard time photographing it with the gold foil paper but hopefully you can see how beautiful and festive it came out.

Card for Daan

Happy Sunday ladies!

Here's todays report from Sweden. We are def. snowed in. It was been a total chaos in Sweden yesterday and not all roads are cleared yet. There's 1meter of snow on our long driveway - so there's no chance that I will be able to get out.

I will have to wait and hope that my Dad can come with his tractor tomorrow and help us. He was on his way today - but they had not cleared the road that takes him to us - so he has to wait....

Well - that's the snowreport for today. Now over to the card - if you remember - my blog friend Renata was asking her blogfriends to create a card for little Daan. Daan is 4 years old and has a brain tumor - which is sadly incurable. This is what Isac and I came up with - using the image "Isac the soccerplayer".
Isac wanted Daan to be in the Dutch soccerteam - so therefore he got the Dutch colours on his outfit. I hope he will like it.

My thoughts and prayers are going to Daan and his family.

Try It Out Tuesday #55!!

Hi Friends!!  Since it's Tuesday that means it's another Try It Out Tuesday for Susana's Custom Art & Card Design!  I've challenged the DT to create a card with ONLY 3 layers (now some of us interpret that in many ways, hee hee), but I truly kept mine to 3!!  I stamped my favorite Victoria Case for SCACD image named "Aud" (after our own lovely DT gal Aud) directly onto my base layer cardstock.  She's colored with Copics and then I used some DCWV dp and cs in navy to set it all off.  I love the elegance of white and navy together and very Clean & Simple too!  The sentiment is from the PTI set "Signature Greetings" with some rhinestones underneath.

Isn't she just a cutie?  She's colored with Copics (B39,B37,B32/Hair: E35,E31,YR21,YR20) and then I added stickles to her purse and trim on her dress & sweater.

Now make sure and scroll down to see the rest of the DT's 3-Layer projects--they're sure to be fabulous!  And while you're there make sure and enter for the YUMMY BLOG CANDY (post above) for the New Elisabeth Bell for SCACD release!!

a shimmer of distress...

good morning!

has everyone entered for the unbelievable blog candy susana is giving away??? if not - what are you waiting on???

Suzanne challenged us to use 3 layers and 3 layers ONLY on our card. i have a fun card to show you today using an amazing but simple technique for your background:

Layer 1 - you can see the shimmer at the top a bit in the pic - in real life it is AWESOME! it is a bit of twist on an oldie but goodie - wrinkle free distress. to achieve it simply take two distress ink pads and smoosh them onto your crft sheet keeping the colors overlapping but not mixed into each other. next instead of misting with water you mist with smooch spritz in 2 colors until the ink begins to bead. Next simply lay your cardstock face down in the puddle and move around a bit to cover and pick up to dry. for this card i used shabby shutters and tumbled glass distress inks and vanilla and spun sugar smooch spritz. next i stamped randomly with this cute little lockhart three packages itty bitty.

Layer 2 - i used the large lattice pendant spellbinders die on the side and cut it in half.

Layer 3 - i used a bit of paper from the gorgeous Basic Grey Lily Kate collection.

Layers 1 & 3 are inked with peeled paint and vintage photo and then i distressed the edges.

i finished it off with star and a pretty little bronze button tied with brown scrappers floss. not difficult, not time consuming but loads of WOW factor!

Are you gearing up for an onslaught of cuteness??? you will not wnt to miss the new release on friday! see ya then!

TIOT #55~Limited Layers?

Good morning and a Happy Tuesday to you!!!  This week's Try It Out Tuesday Challenge is to create a card using only 3 layers.  I tried my best to stick with the three layers, but I think I blew it by adding the card stock insert within the acetate card:o}  For my first card, I used Emma.  She is one of the lovely images in the Elisabeth Bell Sampler Edition #1 that was made exclusively for SCACD.

For my next card, I used darling Daisy.  This little doll baby can be found in the Elisabeth Bell Sampler Edition #2 that was made exclusively for SCACD.  Isn't she such a sweetheart?  I just love her!!!

If you would like the chance to win both of these images and the sets they are a part of, then you need to check THIS out!!!  Susanna is offering an awesome and super cute-a-licious prize package of the Elisabeth Bell Sampler Edition Sets 1, 2, AND 3!!!  That's right...you heard me correctly...one lucky winner will receive three full sheets of the sweetest stamps by the uber talented Elisabeth Bell:o)  AND...set 3 is CAAAAYUUUUTE!!!  Believe me...this is one candy you do not want to miss!!!  If you are interested...GO HERE!!!
