This week we were challenged to create a patchwork background on our cards with real or faux sewing stitches, this is what I came up with:
The stamp is from Elisabeth Bell (Sampler 4), and I absolutely LOVE the image! To make the background I cut out two inch square pieces of paper from the Basic Grey "Green at Heart" collection, glued them onto cardstock, then covered the pieces with a very thin layer of modge podge . I then used a tool for tracing when you are sewing to get some holes in the background, then used a dimensional gel pen to make the "stitches."
The image is colored with copics, and the dimensional gel pens. I used the Viva Decor Transparent pen to make the centers of the flowers, then covered with glitter.
Hope you like the card today : ) Have a fantastic week, and see you next Tuesday.
