YAY it's Friday! I hope you all enjoy your weekend! Today I have some fun to share with all of you! Do you remember -->THIS<-- project that I shared with you back in June? Well today I am going to share with you how to create the beach scene that I used on the card! I hope that you pick up a few good tips....grab your cup of coffee, tea, or cocoa, sit back, and enjoy!
For this project you will need:
* Your colored image
* Diamond Glaze
* Viva Decor Glitter Liner in Hologram
* Viva Decor Glitter Liner in Peridot
* Ultra Fine Flower Soft in Sand
* Aleene's Tacky Glue
* Illuminate Smooch
Ok now we can begin our project since we have our list of goodies!
First you are going to stamp and color your image. Here I have used By the Sea by Victoria Case exclusively for SCACD. By the Sea is from the Hearts and Hugs Summer Collection. I've colored her with Copics.
Next you are going to cover the sand area with your Aleene's Tacky Glue. You can see the white is where the glue was applied.
Then you will sprinkle your Ultra Fine Flower Soft in Sand over the glue. You can lightly pressed on the flower soft with your finger to make sure that the flower soft gets into all the areas with the glue. I usually repeat the sprinkle step two times. If I want more of a 3D look from the flower soft after I sprinkle the flower soft and shake off the excess I will then add some more glue and repeat the sprinkle process, which makes the flower soft build up.
Next take your Diamond Glaze and apply to the area that you colored with water. I have covered where the water line starts on the top and applied over By the Sea's legs, over top of the fishies and over top of the seaweed. I've also added Diamond Glaze to her eyes and the drops of water falling from her hands. *Note* I have NOT covered over the area where the flower soft was applied.
This is what your image will look like after the Diamond Glaze is applied. Next you can take your Illuminate Smooch and add to By the Sea's swimsuit skirt, sailboat on her swimsuit, and the flowers on her cap. Then you will set your image aside to completely dry.
After your image has dried (usually take an hour, at least that is how long I wait...sometime I let it sit overnight and then come back and finish the next day.) you will then take your Viva Decor Glitter Liner in Hologram to add some bling. Here I have added the Viva Decor Glitter Liner in Hologram to the ripples on the top of the water. Next you can take your Viva Decor Glitter Liner in Peridot and put this on top of the seaweed for some more added bling....I say a girl can never use too much bling! hee hee!
This is how your image should look once you are done! *Note* on this image I have not added the Illuminate Smooch yet.
Here is the finished product with my image! My image has been cut out with Spellbinders oval and scalloped oval. For the background piece I have used Labels 11 and on the edges I have used my Viva Decor Pearl Pen in Kiwi and after making my pearls I then covered them with Glamour Dust for more sparkle. Flowers have been spritzed with Smooch Spritz in Vanilla Shimmer.
I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial! We can't WAIT to see the projects that you make! Place your link to your project below!
♥ Thanks for stopping by! ♥

Wow we think the same :)
Fantastic tutorial, Kim!!! I'm so glad that you specified NOT to add the diamond glaze over the flower soft - I was wondering how that would work lol! Now I know how to make my own card look much better - thank you!!!
Love and hugs ~
