a little pop of color

good morning!!!
i was stumped on what i wanted to do for this challenge for a bit - clean and simple, all white, one pop of color....while i love this look i have a hard time creating it myself! BUT i had this adorable bright blue dress hanging around and so i decided to make it my pop of color:
to accentuate my white layers i used embossing. first with a crafter's workshop template on the bottom layer (yes you can use the templates to emboss in your cuttlebug - see the video HERE), and then with a spellbinders pendant die. i used a pretty white iridescent ribbon and big white rose too.

Now this little blue dress - isn't it FAB?!?!?!?! it is from one of the maya road mini chipboard sets - Laundry. How did i get it so blue and so shimmery? it's easy with yet another amazing product from Viva Decor - Inka Gold. what is it exactly? it is a creamy consistency and very metallic. it has amazing coverage on all types of pourous surfaces. i simply got some on my finger and smoothed it all over the chipboard in a thin layer working quickly. then set it aside for a few minutes to "set-up" or stiffen. it will have a slightly sticky feeling. next take a paper towel and buff it - this gets rid of the stickiness and gives a high shine metallic finish like no other. i wish i had words to describe this incredible stuff! it is most amazing on wood - no sanding or priming necessary! it gives a perfectly smooth finish. i accented the dress with Ice White Pearl Pen.
i encourage you all to try this stuff out - it is awesome!!! i have not been able to get enough of it since i brought it home with me from CHA!
have a great weekend!!!
