Happy Tuesday:o) We have a super fun Try It Out Tuesday for you this week...and keep your eyes peeled...we have some fab changes that will soon be taking place on TIOT!!! For this week's challenge, Suzanne has challenged us to...Create a Spring Gift. It doesn't have to be anything big...not unless you want it to be...it can be an altered item, a planner, or something containing candy...you get the picture. Actually, you probably have much better ideas than I do. All you have to do is create something you would like to give a friend or a loved one that has a springtime theme.
I won't bore you with all the details, but I created a birthday gift for my friend's little girl. She will be six in a couple weeks. I know she loves to draw while she is in the car, so I decided to create a little doodle case using one of Lauren Meader's awesome templates. I had to tweak one of the templates a bit, so the box of fat crayons could fit...but that was pretty painless. I also threw in a hefty pack of notepad fillers. That way, when she uses up the paper pad, her mommy can take the old one out and add a new one. I must say, the sweet image, Little Suzanne, was the inspiration for this project:o) Don't you remember those days when you would sprawl out on the floor and color to your heart's content? Heck, if any of you are like me, you probably still do it;o) Of course, it takes me a bit longer to get up than it did all those years ago. Now, I sound like Rice Krispies...I snap, crackle and pop until I get my backside off the floor! Gotta love getting older, right? The funny thing is...I am one age in my head and much older everywhere else. Like I said..ya gotta love it;o) Sorry...I digress...back to the subject at hand.
Above is the card that will accompany her doodle case. This view shows the wonderful shimmer created by the Smooch- Illuminate. I love all that sparkle, and the fine-tip applicator makes coloring even the tiniest of places a breeze. If you love the sparkly stuff as much as I do and have never tried it, you might want to add this to your wish list. Once you get your hands on some, you will wonder how you managed without it...I know I do. And speaking of wish lists...Susana just received the new Basic Grey (Capella, Kraft, White, Manilla and Max & Whiskers), and 3 new colors of glitter gel (Blue, Bronze and Peridot).
I suppose I have rambled on enough...as I usually do. Thank you for dropping by:o) I hope you will be able to play along with us in this week's TIOT challenge:o) Have an awesome Tuesday!!!
