TIOT welcoming the new year

hi everyone!
Suzanne had a great challenge for our first of the new year - make a welcome card! i chose to work on a gift for my neighbor who is pregant and made a welcome baby gift set:

My little set includes a card, a soup in a jar mix, and some oatmeal milk bath for the mom to be.

The card base is acetate which is always so fun to work with! i used this incredible Lockhart quilt stamp with the magificent Creative Inspirations paints. These paints pair up PERFECTLY with all of the lockhart quilt-ish style stamps - and there are many! the technique is simple. stamp your image with versamark, emboss with black embossing powder. this gives your lines the bility to hold the pait in a bit better though the paint is the perfect consistency for this technique. the simply paint in your shapes. here i used aquamarine and sunshine.
i mounted my image on a mat cut with Labels 3 nestibilities & then inked with the ranger ink blending foam tool. i accented with border punched strips, microbeads, pezabling acrylic squares and a cricut shape. the microbeads are easy to adhere using scor tape!
it is difficult to really show the massive shimmer in these paints but this photo helps...

i painted a second image but did the colors opposite of the first for the tag on my soup in a jar.
if you love shimmer like i do be sure to check out these easy to use Creative Inspirations paints! the colors are vibrant & the shimmer is out of this world!

Have a fabulous day!
hugs
