Hiya Friends!! So today's card uses the fabulous Lockhart Stamp Co. image "Delphiniums & Peony" available HERE! (I love this image--it's one of my faves that Karen drew) The image was colored w/ copics & the watering can has a coat of diamond glaze on it, the flowers have diamond stickles (my 2 fave products, hee hee)! All of the dp is by Stampin' Up & the border punch is from Martha Stewart! The buttons are all from Paper Trey Ink and the bow was made w/ the Bow Easy which Susana has in stock now--see video on how easy the Bow Easy is to use right HERE! SWEET SUSY

This is another new release from Victoria Case "Hearts and Hugs Collections #2" exclusively for SCACD. Everytime I ink one of the images I think this is my favorite, but they are all so cute I don't know which is my favorite. I can say this, these stamps are etched wonderfully, they are so easy to stamp and get all the detail the first time. Now, on to Susy (isn't she sweet). This card can be used for various occasions. I decided I would give it to one of my granddaughters with a Build a Bear gift card in the inside pocket.

I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday. I am also entering this card in the following challenges.

Whimsy Stamps Challenge - Touch of Sparkle

Susy is stamped, heat embossed and colored with Copics. The DP was part of my stash. The white background was run through my Cuttlebug and then I put ribbon on top of it. The flowers have a little shimmerez on them just to give them a little shine and finished off with spacers and pearl brads. The charm says "made for an angel". Crystal Effects was used on Susy's eyes so they would shine. Of course, stickles was added to her ponytail holders, top, the hearts on her pants and her shoes. It is so hard to get a good pic to show the stickles without it being overpowering.

The charm says "made for an angel" on one side and the other side is an angel.

I did the same thing on the inside with the white accents and added ribbon and rhinestones. There is a double pocket on bottom.

Thank you for stopping by and taking a look. If you have time, please leave me a comment.

Don't forget to sign up for my blog candy.

BE SURE AND CHECK OUT THE NEW COLLECTION OVER AT SUSANA"S STORE.

Taylor

I 've been urging to use this fabulous Taylor stamp from the Hearts and Hugs Collection Series #2 by Victoria Case for SCACD for days now, she's just the cutest cowgirl in town!

Colored her with Prismacolor pencils, added a flower, paper embellies and brads. Tried to make it look like the horse charm is fastened with a rope... The sentiment is computer generated, font is Oklahoma.

Victoria Case New Release - Jami

How cute is this stamp? Does it bring back memories of when you got your first puppy? As most of you know, I am a huge animal lover so I fell in love with this stamp. Not only does Jami have a happy smile on her face, but the puppy is showering her with kisses.I followed the sketch from Friday Sketchers.

I am also entering this card in the following challenges:

2Red Bananas Challenge - inspiration from a picture. I saw fall colors.

Stamptacular Sunday - create a 3-D card.

Cute Card Thursday - Lazy days. My lazy days are spent playing with my puppies.

Creative Inspirations - Stitching. I have lots of it.

Whimsy Stamps Challenge - Add a little sparkle. Always

Jami is heat embossed and colored with Copics and Prismas. The puppy is popped up for added dimension. I accented with Stickles on Jami's jeans, ponytail holder, and the puppy's collar. The flowers are from my stash and also accented with Stickles.

There are a lot of layers on this card and each layer is stitched.

The inside of the card is stitched. The top inside little square is stitched. The hearts were cut from my nesties. I am sure most of you have see The Pet Stack. The paper is embossed and glossy.

This is only 1 stamp from the new Victoria Case exclusive for SCACD. Check out the store and see the others, they are so cute. You will absolutely love them.

Thank you for looking and if you have time, please leave me a comment. Don't forget to sign up for the blog candy.

Here Comes Susy!!

Hello, my friends!!! How the heck are ya?!? I hope all is well in your corner of the world:o) Things here are as busy as always, but I am alive and kicking and feeling very blessed! So, life is good:o)

Today's card was created for Sketch & Stash Challenge #17. One of the requirements for the Sketch & Stash Challenge, other than following the sketch, is to use our newest stash on the item we submit. My newest stash is the fabulous and versatile set of stamps from the Hearts & Hugs Collection Series 2 by Victoria Case for SCACD. I looked through this fun set of stamps and chose sweet, sweet Susy. I think she is a doll!!! And, ya gotta love the adorable teddy bear she is hugging:o) Melts the heart doesn't it? I colored this precious image with my Prismacolor markers, added some Diamond Glaze to the soles of her sneakers and her eyes, and threw on a little Crystal Stickles here and there for some sparkle. The DP is from Basic Grey's Two Scoops...one of my fave paper pads!!! The flowers are a combination of Primas and hand-punched flowers. I would love to say that I intended to pop dot her cute, little head...but I would be lying if I did. I made a boo-boo on the initial image:o( So, instead of throwing the entire image away and starting from scratch, I stamped her again and just colored the head on the second image. I cut it out and popped it up on foam dots for some added dimension, and the boo-boo was concealed:o) Now, that is what I call stategic stamping! Hahaha!!! If you only knew how many of my cards have camouflaged boo-boos...but I'll never tell;o)

Well, it is time for me to head on out of here!! I hope your Wednesday is wonderful and wacky...but wacky in a fun way...filled with laughter and smiles:o) I will be seeing y'all tomorrow!!! Thanks so much for dropping by!!!

Hugs!
Carolyn

Try It Out Tuesday #33--Girly Rulz!!

Try It Out Tuesday Challenge #33

So today is "Try It Out Tuesday Challenge #33" for Susana's Custom Art & Card Design and I challenged the DT to make alter or make a notebook/book cover! Of course I couldn't stop there & decided to make a matching card & 2 cute lil' purses (more on this fun technique below) that can hold a note or candy! This whole idea (projects & papers) were thought up the other night while I was in bed trying to sleep, LOL--I love it when it comes together even bettah' than I imagined! All of my dp is from Stampin' Up's new "Razzleberry Lemonade"--I love the colors & patterns in it! And the fabulous stamp is from Victoria Case for SCACD "Hearts & Hugs Series 2" line--isn't she a cutie, her name is "Aud" (after one of our fabulous DT members)! She is perfect for so many events & occasions I tell ya (and only $7)!!

I used this past week's Friday Sketcher's Sketch #66 for my card layout--a fab one indeed IMO! I used more Prima Caboodles (love them), a scroll punch, rhinestones and a Cuttlebug Embossing folder!
This is a pretty large notebook & has tabs inside too so someone can have different sections if they want--I picked them up at Target last year (of course, lots of big ones & small ones too, lol)! I covered mine with more cs & dp using my fave Scor-Tape to adhere it with so it's super durable! I used the same embellies that I used on the card--the letters are from some Sizzix dies I have & then I embossed them w/ my CB "swiss dots" folder. The entire notebook got a healthy spritz of baby's breath Shimmerz Spritz!

So I was going thru my new Spellbinders dies the other day & saw two that I knew would work perfectly to make small purses!! I used Nestabilities Labels 6 & 7 for these 2 purses! I just cut them out with my Cuttlebug using the largest die in each pack, folder them in half & added handles. For the pink one I embossed it & cut a half circle out for the handle and added a Prima flower too. The patterned one has ribbon handles, a Prima & it stays closed with a magnet. These are perfect for party favors, lunchbox notes or place settings--they can hold a note or small piece of candy. Wouldn't these be cute sitting on a table as place settings w/ nametags on them for a ladies luncheon or girls birthday party--FUN I tell ya! And easy peasy to make too!

Isn't "Aud" just the cutest? I just love her! I added diamond stickles to her sweater & purse, diamond glaze on her boots & eyes & some small rhinestones on her hairbow (and yes she's colored w/ Copics)! Cute I tell ya!

Now scroll down to see the rest of the DT's lovely projects for today!!

hugz,
Suzanne

TIOT

I am so excited to get the opportunity to play with the Design Team in TIOT!

The project was to alter/create a notebook. The minute I heard it, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I created a coloring notebook for my niece with the wonderful exclusive images I have from Susana's store.

I stamped an assortment of images by Victoria Case, Elisabeth Bell and Anki.

I cut chipboard covers and covered and decorated them with Basic Grey and one of the images. Then I bound it all together. I hope you enjoy it. I had a wonderful time creating it, and I think my niece with love it! - Alex

Try it Out Tuesday #33 - Notebook Cover

One of my favorite things to shop for used to be back to school supplies for the girls. Don;t let me walk into Staples because it's way too hard for me to get out! I love the smell of new crayons and freshly sharpened pencils. Makes me think about all the things out there to learn and I get so excited about learning!

Our ever so talented Design Team Leader at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design, Suzanne Dean, challenged us to make a notepad or post-it cover to go along with the back to school season so I chose Susy, who is not only one of the brand new images from the Hearts and Hugs Series 2 Collection from Victoria Case for Susana's Custom Art and Card Design, but is named for our very own Suzanne as well! I think she's just adorable!

I love the red and white paper and thought it looked fresh for back to school. I used the ribbon to add some black accents. Susy is colored with copics and I added some Stickles to her dress and pants. Some Glossy Accents gives a realistic look to her gorgeous eyes and I added some glaze to her sweet teddy bear. I love the patterned Prisma flowers and thought they'd give just a bit dimension. I can't wait to use this cutie!

This is a side view. You can see the cute pale pink pages of the notebook.

I just adore these sweet babies faces! Aren't they just precious?

Now make sure that you stop by Follow Your Heart, the store's blog and check out all the other goregous projects that my ultra-talented Design Team Buddies have created for you all!

So go enjoy getting ready for back to school! School and desk supply shopping is as much fun for me as clothes shopping! Enjoy!

A fun new challenge for SCACD's DT, make a notepad or a notebook cover. I chose to do the second one, a cover. I'll be giving this as a small gift to a friend. She got a puppy a few months ago, so this totally adorable stamp, Jami from the Hearts and Hugs Collection Series #2 by Victoria Case for SCACD, is just perfect for this project!
Colored as ususal with my Prismacolor pencils, used retro flower punches, QuicKutz swirls, Petaloo Mulberry flowers and brads.

Try It Out Tuesday #33~An "Autumn" Notebook Planner

Happy Tuesday!!! I hope you had a wonderful Monday...mine started out rather blah, but it ended on a super high note:o) I will tell you more about that at a later date. Anyhoo, being that it is Tuesday, it is time for this week's Try It Out Tuesday Challenge. This week, Suzanne challenged us to create a fun notepad OR notebook/book cover. FUN stuff!!!! I have been totally enjoying all these three-dimensional projects, and I knew exactly what I wanted to create...because I just made one for my son's girlfriend as a back-to-school gift!! It matches the backpack set I made for last week's TIOT.

I used one of Lauren Meader's awesome templates (All Boxed Up) to create this "Homework" planner; and with fall right around the corner, I had to use one of the adorable new stamps from the Hearts & Hugs Collection Series #2 by Victoria Case that is sold exclusively at Susana's Custom Art & Card Design. I l-o-v-e this darling stamp!!! She looks like she is having a ball skipping through those leaves:o)

I colored sweet Autumn with Prismacolor markers. For a touch of sparkle, I added Crystal Stickles to her hat and scarf as well as the pom-poms on her boots and the teeny-tiny heart on her sweater. She was cut out using the Classic Oval Nesties, And then the image was mounted onto a piece of contrasting paper that was cut out with the Scalloped Oval Nesties. A couple brown buttons and some ribbon from my stash seemes to be the only decorative element the cover needed...because Autumn is just too dang cute!!!! :o)

The patterned paper is from Martha Stewart's Classic Botanical 12x12 paper pad, and it is filled with double-sided papers in a plethora of beautiful patterns. Note to self: I gotta get more...just don't let hubby know...he already thinks I have a problem;o) Shhhh...between you and me--I do, but when it comes to pretty papers, I simply cannot help myself!! However, I know I am not alone...hee hee...which makes it easier to keep adding more and more to my "collection" and shopping cart. Okay, back to the project...there are four dividers within the side pocket because the kids here are on a 4x4 schedule. I figured she could jot down the homework assignment on the notepad, then stash it in front of/behind the appropriate tab. I used the Large Classic Circles and Scalloped Circles Nesties to create decorative tabs on each of the dividers, and I added buttons to the front of each tab. The pen has a rolled up piece of the brown DP in the barrel, so it would coordinate with the planner.

I really like the way this project came out...now I just have to figure out who to give it to...maybe I'll try and sell it...hmmmm...I gotta think on that one a bit. All I know is, I had a load of fun creating it!!! Thanks Suzanne for another spectacular challenge!!! Now, don't YOU want to take on Suzanne's challenge? If you do, don't forget to share it with us:o) We love seeing your creations with Susana's wonderful stamps!!! Plus, it wouldn't be very nice to keep your fabulous creations all to yourself...you know you always feel better when you share;o)

Have a super Tuesday my paper crafting pals, and thanks for stopping by!!!

Hugs:o)

Try It Out Tuesday #33 - Takin' Notes!

Welcome to this week's Try it out Tuesday from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design! It's decorating time this week (TIOT33), we were challenged to create an altered/decorated NOTEBOOK. Yay, I actually love doing these sorts of projects!

I decided to use another of the darlings from the Victoria Case for SCACD Hearts & Hugs Collection 2! This is Aud. All eight images are available now (just released last Friday) so be sure to check them out if you haven't already.

I started off by stamping her in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers. Did some highlighting with the Ranger white gel pen when all the coloring was done. After she was colored I cut her out. I used my new Labels 8 Nestabilities for the pink panel, with Classic Oval Nestabilities layered on top. Plenty of Kaisercraft rhinestone accents on that pink panel for added pop. Aud is up on dimensionals. Added my sentiment "Live for Today" and a hodgepodge frame, lots of ribbon on the binding and it's ready to go! The size of this notebook (about 4" x 6") was making me think it could be something easy to stick into the car or a shoulder bag for when I'm out and about.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope if you have time you play along with our challenge and Try Out a notebook!

Victoria Case for SCACD-Aud

I'm having so much fun with these lovely Victoria Case for SCACD images...they're a dream to color! I saw this little project a few days ago and knew I wanted to make it for the TIOT challenge today! It's simply made from a folder. I chose Aud from the Hearts & Hugs series 2, to adorn my list keeper so I could color her to match my purse!
I hope you have a chance to play along with us this week and create something fun! I have all the details and links on my blog, Joyful Stamper! Blessings, Maria

FALL NOTES

Hello everyone!!! This week our Try it Out Tuesday challenge was to make a Notepad or Notebook cover so I decided that since we are soon entering Fall, I would make a "Fall Notes" notebook. Using Autumn, the cute fall girl from the new Hearts and Hugs Series 2 Victoria Case for Susana's Customs Art and Card Design (SCACD), was the perfect image for my project.

After coloring in the image with my copics, I added the Terra Cotta and Tuscan Sun Shimmerz Spritz....first the Terra Cotta at the top end and then the Tuscan Sun all over the entire image. It added an amazing shine to my project. I also added some Cappuccino Baubles - love the color on these.....great for fall projects.

I also added some Tuscan Sun Shimmerz to my Prima flowers - then I added a Loop brad and hung a charm that I distressed with Tim Holtz Walnut Distress Embossing Powder for a rustic look.

FALL NOTES is stamped with the Doodle Alphabet CTMH stamp set then punched with an EK Success circle punch and I added some distress stickles for more bling.

Hope everyone has a great week!!

Hugs to all, T
