Lavender Blue Lockhart!

Hi Friends! My uses another one of my favorite flower stamps from Lockhart Stamp Co. "Cottage Flowers" (starting Monday there's gonna be an awesome Lockhart challenge/prizes sponsored by Susana's store too--so stay tuned). I used this week's Mojo Monday Sketch #97 for my layout and this fabulously yummy dp from Melissa Frances. Love the soft & vintage feel of this paper--reminds me of Shabby Chic sheets that have gone thru the wash many times & are now downy soft! The corner cut-outs were done with a punch I've had forevah' & the lovely charm is by Blue Moon that you can buy HERE.

I colored with Copics (what else right?hee hee) and then added a few diamond stickles to the flowers--the jar got a coat of my fave diamond glaze too. Just a soft & lovely card--I really like how this one turned out :o) Hope you do too!

FABULOUS FRIEND!!

Hello and HAPPY FRIDAY to all!!

I made this bookmark/tag last night with the cute stamp "Spunkette". She is from the new Elisabeth Bell for SCACD collection. If you notice, the original stamp has long thin wings but for my bookmark/tag I decided to remove the wings for this project.

I stamped up my image and with a baby wipe, I carefully took off the ink from the wings....it worked perfect.

Supplies: Acetate; Pattern paper: Basic Grey Lemonade Collection; Stamp image: "Spunkette"; Stickles; SU Sentiment; SU scallop punch; Copics; EK Success flower punch

Those beautiful pearls in the middle of the tiny flowers were sent to me by a very dear friend of mine Connie. They match my project PERFECT!! Thanks Connie!!!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I will be baby sitting my 5 year old and 2 year old nephews......this should be a very exciting weekend for me :o)

Hugs to all, T

Dolly at Friday Sketchers

Finished my card yesterday, which was the last day for this sketch over at Friday Sketchers, I really liked this one, so here's my card.
I used the very cute Dolly from Elisabeth Bell for SCACD, colored with Prismacolor pencils, added the flowers, ribbon, a punched butterfly, used my new leaf punch, and added some Kaisercraft Rhinestones.

Hydrangea and Berries

Lockhart stamps are so wonderful. The details are always amazing. This stamp is called Hydrangea and Berries. I colored the image with my copics and then went back in with a clear glaze on the leaves to make them look shiny and waxy. The berries were highlighted with Liquid Pearls in Lavender Lace. I love Liquid Pearls... I really truly do! They can make a project look so classy. The image was cut out with a Peony nestablities die. I used Basic Grey Wisteria Paper, added some lace and dewdrops... tada... finished! Hope you have a wonderful day! Smiles.... Brandi

It's raining hugs and kisses

Last week we call the Women week - or in Swedish "Fruntimmers veckan". Fruntimmer was the old way of saying Woman in Swedish. The reason why it's called this is because the calender is filled with only name days for women - except the first one that's for Fredrik on July 18th.

They also used to say that the weather during "Fruntimmersveckan" always mean a lot of rain. The reason is because women cry so easily - and with so many women - well then it must rain during this week. At least that's what they thought in the old days ;-) So what could I do - needed to make a card with at least one umbrella on ;-)

So here you have it - the stamp from Victoria Case Collection called Singing in the rain.

Coloured her with my copics and this time I only wanted brown and pink on my card - with the exception for the little pool of water of course.

Used the Susanament for kisses and hugs - since I think this little girl really is happy - despite the rain. Added some flowers - my flower punch is used a lot these days and also some Bella Baubles.

Ribbon and DPs are from SU.

Kram and I will be singing - even if it continues to rain after "Fruntimmersveckan" ;-)

Try It Out Tuesday #29--A Plummy Petal Gift

Hello friends! So today is Try It Out Tuesday for Susana's Custom Art & Card Design and I've challenged the DT to create a gift of any kind using one of the *NEW* Elisabeth Bell for SCACD stamps! I decided to use this cutie-patootilicious fairy called "Spunkette"--isn't she adorable?! I paired her up with this fabulous plummy dp by Cloud9Design and used my totebag template to create my gift and matching card!

I've made a totebag template/directions for you right HERE if you're interested. After coloring "Spunkette" with Copics twice & cutting her out--I added her to this fun flower for the front of my bag. The top flowers are all Primas--the mini roses were white & then I added iced lavender Shimmerz to the tops of the petals and then threaded the stem thru 2 more Prima flowers. The circle has a transparency front that I stamped with PTI's "Fancy Flourishes" stamps in white Palette Ink.
This is what the inside holds--some fun & pretty fairy goodies!! I forget where I picked these up, but I knew I could use them for something fun, lol! So the gift holds a body butter lotion, 2 lipgloss lollipops, & Body Splash in Raspberry Swirl--smells YUM!

Here is the matching card I made to go along with the gift--I purposely left off a sentiment so it could be given for any occasion. I added a fun ribbon treatment to the corners and some lavender glitter dots to the bottom!

And of course no fairy is complete without lots of shimmer, hee hee! I used both diamond stickles and iced lavender Shimmerz on her skirt petals, wings & flower! Her hair was colored with the SJD Copic Bundle "Blonde Hair 2" and the purples were done with the "Lavenders Bundle" along with the new V0000 copic color.

Hope you liked my plummy project today! Now scroll on down to check out the rest of the DT's fabulous projects!

Spunkette's New Home

Being a Spotlight Stamper is fun! Here is my second project featuring Spunkette from SCACD by Elisabeth Bell. Isn’t she just a doll?I decided that she needed a home. A sparkly, pretty, girly type of a house fit for a fairy. This is what I came up with.

Front View

This former bird-house had to be redecorated fairy style, so out came the Lemonade Basic Grey Papers, Prima Roses and some bling from the stash. A Martha Stewart punch was used to make the gingerbread trim as a final touch. Spunkette herself is dressed in a paper-pieced Lemonade skirt. Her flower center is a Lemonade brad. The entire house was spritzed with Baby’s Breath Shimmerz.

Side View

I hope you liked the house... I think it would make a terrific gift for a little girl who believes in fairies. Have a happy day!

p.s. I have another post up on my blog featuring Danni by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD. Stop by and see it if you have a minute... thanks!

BEST WISHES.....TIOT

WOOO HOOO - I didn't think I would make it to this weeks TIOT for SCACD LOL. I really LOVE these new ELISABETH BELL for SCACD stamps...they are ALL AMAZING!!!!

This is DANNI.......she is surrounded by butterflies.....just in time for me to use my new QUICKUTZ Butterfly die that I picked up at my LSS this weekend. I also picked up some thin cork sheets which I used on my project......WOW I LOVE that stuff.

I made the bag using my Cricut Expression and my Tags Bags Boxes and More Cricut Cartridge. The paper is Provocraft 12 x 24 paper pack and I cut it using the FIT TO PAGE feature. The bag measures 10" tall x 6" wide by 2 1/4" deep....perfect for a birthday gift.

I stamped the image directly on to the tag. These are just regular AVERY Shipping Tags I picked up at Office Max a few weeks ago. Since the tags are a cream color, it went perfect with my bag and all I had to do was add a little color to the image with my copics, ink the edges, add some stickles and voila.....the tag was done. I also added a scalloped mat to the tag to match the pattern paper at the bottom of the bag.

Materials: Cricut Expression; Tags Bags Boxes & More Cricut Cartridge; SEI Pattern Paper; Provocraft 12 x 24 paper; Cork sheet; Tag is from Office Max; Elisabeth Bell for SCACD: Danni; Butterfly: Quickutz; Sentiment: SU; Oval Punches: SU; Martha Stewart Butterfly punch; EK Success Scallop border punch; Copics; Stickles, Papertrey Ink Ribbon; Cappuccino bubbles; Swarovski crystals; Tim Holtz Distressing Ink

Try It Out Tuesday #29 - A Gift for You!

Every now and then our furbabies need a little bit of attention. I tell you I could just eat my Hagrid up sometimes! Well, most of the time. He loves me unconditionally, only asks that I feed him and take him out to do his business and to spend time with him. He's the least demanding of my time and believe it or not, most days I get the biggest return on my investment from him!

For Try It Out Tuesday, our ever talented and creative Design Team Leader at SCACD, Suzanne Dean, challenged us over at Follow Your Heart, to make a gift and my neglected Hagrid came to mind. He's been so good with being shifted from room to room since Tiffany and Allie are here that I wanted to do something sweet for him. So I got him some doggie treats and reached for Rian from Elisabeth Bell for SCACD! She's just way too cute for herself sitting there cuddling her little puppy! I could just eat her up!

Here's a copy of the whole set. I stamped Rian with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored her with copics. Then I cut her out using my top note die from SU, trimmed around the edges and cut out another top note out of the plaid paper and the band around the blueberry container is from the Pets Stack from DCWV. I highlighted her hearts on the cuff of her pants with some glaze and her flowers around her hoodie with my Spica Glitter Pen. She's all spritzed with my Shimmerz Spritz and I added a big flower from the Mulberry Street pack from Petaloo and put some buttons on the bottom corner laced with Scrapper's Floss. I was really pleased with how she came out and Hagrid loved his treats!

Here's a side view and below is a copy of this cutie's beautiful, sweet face!

If you haven't picked up these sweet stamps, you're really missing out! They are such fun to color up and go with any occasion. I am just taken by them and the more I work them up, the more ideas I get! Make sure you stop over at the store blog and see the other creations that my Designing Sisters have come up with. They're all absolutely fabulous! And take the time to make something for someone you've been neglecting. It doesn't have to be big or grand, just something to let them know you were thinking about them. It just makes you feel good!

Card Ingredients:

Rian by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD, Mulberry Street Flowers from Petaloo, Shimmerz Spritz, copics, SU top note die, Scrapper's Floss, buttons, The Pets Stack from DCWV, Spica Glitter Pen, Glaze pen.

TIOT #29 ~ Gift Bag & Nugget Purses

The TIOT challenge for SCACD's DT this week is to make a gift of any kind, so I decided to make some nice wrapping for one of the best gifts of all: chocolate! Smiley from millan.net

I used the super cute Rian from Elisabeth Bell for SCACD on my bag, colored her with Prismacolor pencils. On the other side of the bag I used a circle sentiment from Aud Design. I put stickles on the butterfly, the rose and on the brads on the nugget purses. Added some Kaisercraft Rhinestones too.

I got inspired by my friend Elin, she has made lots of different gift bags and also these cute nugget purses, and I've wanted to make these my self for quite some time now. Here's the link to a video tutorial: Nugget purses. I've made mine a little bit larger to fit the nuggets.

Here's a link to a tutorial on the gift bag, it's in Norwegian, you can follow the pictures, and I've made a template with inches for you here, just click to enlarge.

These chocolates are veeery good, they were here earlier today on the photo shoot - now they're all gone! Strange... Smiley from millan.net

Try It Out Tuesday #29

Our challenge this week was to create a gift for someone. I don't know why but the minute I hear I have to make a "project" vs. a card I panic. I guess it's out of my comfort zone but one I enjoy..after it's all done. LOL!
I decided to make a gift for my dog, Heidi Ann. Yes, I know I'm silly but today is her 10th birthday! We got her in Germany the first year we were married (that's where we were stationed). She is just the best dog and my first "baby". I even threw her a birthday party for her first birthday, much to Sam's dismay. LOL!
Here's some more recent photos of her (she is a boxer, but a very small boxer).

Okay so I won't "give" this to her, except for the doggie treats, but I thought it would be nice to give to a friend who has a similar love for dogs. I used a tutorial on SCS for the Tiny Treat Basket.

supplies:
card size: 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
stamps: Rian, SU Teeny Tiny Wishes
paper: SU retired Kiwi Kiss, SU retired Raspberry Tart,
ink: SU basic black
others: prismacolors, OMS, SU scallop and large oval punches, Kaisercraft Blush Pearls,

TIOT29 - Gifts For Puppies Too!

Hello!! Welcome to another Try It Out Tuesday from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design! This week (TIOT29) we are feelin' like giftin'!! DT leader Suzanne Dean challenged us to make a gift of some kind. Well, for once I actually had an idea for a gift item right away! I know, can you believe it?

Today I reached for Rian. She's so sweet and shy looking, and the puppy love is pretty clear for all to see! I stamped her in Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored with Copic markers. When she was ready I set her aside and made my box. I have a plastic take out box that I used as a template, I loved the size of it so I bought one, took it apart and now I can make as many as I need!

Before I go any further, I have to mention this. Have you tried using Scor-Tape in place of the super-sticky red line tape yet?? I now use it on all my 3D-type projects {and other things too, actually, it's so easy!} - and I want to say this clearly - I AM NEVER GOING BACK TO RED LINE TAPE!!! The Scor-Tape is amazingly cheap, just as sticky as the other stuff and BEST of ALL, you can tear it! No more annoyingness with the scissors every time you need another little piece of the red stuff. Whatever size you need, just tear it right off, it's not even HARD to tear. It comes in a humongous roll and you can make boxes and bags and all kinds of things to your heart's content. I don't even think I can convey my EXTREME LOVE for Scor-Tape via online forum delivery, but trust me, you won't be disappointed by it!

Ok, moving on to the rest of the box. I cut the pieces from white cardstock and assembled it using Scor-Tape. Cut the panels from my computer-generated patterned paper to place onto the sides, punched holes and added the wire handle. The sentiments in the ovals are computer-generated too. Then I just punched them all out, added Rian and the word ovals to the side of the box, and filled it with doggie cookies. My DS #1 is going to be giving this to a certain neighbor dog that he absolutely adores -- he is always asking if he can go over and play with her. I think she'll be pretty excited {about the contents of the box, LOL}.

That's it from me! Thanks for stopping by today! I hope everyone has a great week, and if you have time, Try It Out with us and show us your GIFT IDEAS!

Giving the gift of a TIOT

First of all, I'd like to apologize for not offering another card post for SCACD last week. Time really seems to be running away from me as of late. I'm really trying to pull myself together and it has been a chore lately to find time to stamp. I hope you will all bare with me!

This week's TIOT we were challenged to create a gift and luckily my husband's neice had a birthday recently so I decided to alter a frame for her (aside from a Littlest Petshop Nintendo DS game we got her). I used the ultra cute Susan stamp from the exclusive Elisabeth Bell line for SCACD.

BEFORE:

AFTER:

The Elisabeth Bell images are so perfect for that "girly girl" room and the colors I used blended nicely with her bedroom decor.

Altered Frame Recipe:

Stamp: Susan by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD

Ink: StazOn black

Paper: SU Raspberry Tart designer paper, SU cs ( Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, Old Olive), watercolor paper

Accessories: art frame from Target, hot pink rhinestones, pink & white gingham ribbon, Cricut machine, Cricut Plantin Schoolbook cartridge, watercolor markers

I will be off to Orlando on Tuesday for the Summer CHA convention so I'm hoping the time away from the everyday hustle and bustle will do me some good!

Elisabeth Bell Stamps for SCACD-Susan

This week, Suzanne Dean, DT leader extraordinaire has challenged us to make a little gift and matching card for TIOT! Well, with these new Elisabeth Bell stamps I thought the perfect little gift would be some note cards and I even made a little tote to 'deliver' them to the recipient!
I used the lovely Susan stamp this time, colored with copics and prismas. The DP is BasicGrey's june bug! These stamps are just so fun to color!!!
I hope you'll play along with us this week! Have a great day!
Blessings, Maria

Sweets for you - TIOT 29

Hej!

This week Suzanne wants us to make a gift of some kind. Well - I really love sweets - maybe too much, hm.....So I decided to actually try and use all of the Anki's Sweetheart images on one set. Well - I almost made it...hihi..... You can count them yourself and see if you know which one's that are missing ;-)

I first saw this Milk Carton Container over at Rach and that's how I found and purchased the tutorial for this fun project from Becky. She has some really fun tutorials for sale - so I've purchased a few of them. It's fun to sometimes make something else than a card - right?

So here's how the project turned out:

The front with Julia with flowers, Julia the Cheerleader, Fluffy, Emilia with heart and Isac the soccerplayer. Sentiment stamp " A little Yummy for your tummy" from SU.

One side of the box with Isac with skateboard and Cathrine with butterfly.
The back side of the box with Emilia (going on picnic) Cathrine with kittens, Teacher Rebecka, Cathrine with friends and Princess Victoria.

The other short side of the box with Alicia and Cathrine the Vet.

DPs are from SU as well as the ribbons. Chalked around the images with pine cone.
All images are coloured with copics.

These cute Milk Carton Containers have a hidden trap door in the bottom - so you can easily open and close them without distroying the top of the container.

Hope you liked this project and if you want to play along - please upload your gift on SCS or PCP using the keyword "TIOT29". Also - remember to add SCACD as a keyword so that we easily find your project to Susana's gallery over at SCS.
Kram Anki
PS. I will not tell you if the boxes are filled with the chocolate or if it they disappeared while making this project...hihi.....

Susan's Glittery Flowers

Happy Saturday!!! Well, Saturday evening by now; where did the day go?? I meant to have this project up first thing this morning - but you know how THAT goes!! All's well that ends well, I say. :)

Do you not LOVE LOVE her??? I know, I say that a lot, but I do love papercrafting (of course) and these new Elisabeth Bell for SCACD images are really quite fabulous. What's NOT to love? Meet Susan.

I had to pull out Basic Grey for this card, Lemonade. I also snuck in a sketch challenge, WOO HOO, this is Weekend Sketch Challenge #90 a sketch for today's card (WSC90). What a nice one and perfect for this image!

All the usual suspects to create this, I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers. Did some highlighting with the Ranger white gel pen when all the coloring was done. Cut and matted using Petite Oval Nestabilities. The flower is a Petaloo and I added the punched circle and the Kaisercraft Rhinestone. I did her bouquet with a Quickie Glue Pen and various colors of glitter, along with a bit of the new Taffy Smooch!

Hope you have a great weekend!
