TIOT #43- Create a scene

This week's challenge is to create a scene on your card. I made several attempts at this but well, I'm just more of a clean and simple girl...it just didn't work. So instead of fretting over it, I just created a card for you.

You can check out the other team members FAB creations at Susana's store blog, Follow Your Heart, and also see how you can play along.

Don't forget to see about the blog candy while you're there and get ready to hop on Thursday to see the new release!!

What I did:
I stamped the fab, Suzanne from the Victoria Case for SCACD Everyday Gal Collection,  in Memento ink on Neenah Solar white cardstock. Then I colored her with my copics. I added some sparkle to her jewelry and some of the bags with my copic glitter pens.
I wanted to do a gate-fold card so I went to SCS and found this tutorial. I rarely mention my Scor-Pal but I do love it. I use  it on every card and it helps so much with projects.
I also get asked often if I color my image first or pick out papers first. I use to always pick out papers first but then I discovered I'd only use my "favorite" papers so I started coloring the image first and then I match the papers. I find this way I use papers I normally wouldn't and it helps me challenge myself.
I just followed the tutorial, then added the papers and embellishments. I also doodled around the image as it just needed an extra "umph".  I also decorated the inside. The sentiment is stamped in SU Garden Green.
To finish it off I just tied a ribbon around it.
