Nothing too exciting, but truly heartwarming...I love watching old Christmas movies, especially "Miracle on 34th Street", my fav! Nothing gets me in the mood for Christmas more. I guess I relate winter with Christmas!

We have a bunch of winter activities that we do as a family, but our favorite is to sit in front of our fire, watch a movie and eat something yummy (though we have to fight the 3 dogs for warmth from the fire LOL!) The yummy is something that we made together in the kitchen, like brownies, cookies or even pizza! yummy- cool days are here already!!

my favourite is on Christmas eve we have a big mea full of crackers and cheese, sandwiches, cakes, mini pizzas etc at my parents house and then sit witht he family and watch Santa Claus a classic Christmas movie drinking mulled wine and just being together :) I love christmas

In the winter I love to romp with the dogs in the snow then go in the house for a cup of hot tea or cocoa and read a book. Sounds like a wonderful winter day activity to me!
my favourite winter time activity is getting all my Christmas presents wrapped before going home to Canada for a visit... it means the trip is very close, and i can start counting down until we're in the car, on our way to see my friends and family, whom i miss SO MUCH!

When I lived in a cooler climate I loved Winter for having a fire in the fireplace, but now one of my favs is a cool enough day for drinking Hot Cocoa. :)

There is no winter in Singapore and I have never been to anywhere during this period but I think it should be snowball game :)
My favorite winter activity would have to be curling up in a blanket with a cup of hot chocolate and a good book. Usually my family is there with me, watching a movie together, all snuggled up!
My favorite wintertime activity would definitely have to be watching my kids play outside, they get so excited. We're sad that we've moved and this year will be our first year without snow :( I guess we will have to find a new winter activity!
Considering we can get 30 feet of snow in the winter I soon tire of it. I love to be indoors where it is warm working on my crafts lookinG forward to Christmas when our kids come home for Christmas. After that it is packing shorts, bathing suits etc for our annual trip to Mexico where it is WARM.

My absolute favorite winter activity is my Mom, my brother and I getting together for our annual cookie baking and card making weekend. We always have so much fun and since we don't live super close anymore, it is a great time to catch up.

My fave winter activity is playing in the snow! I become a kid again, building snow men... snowball fights... and the urge to make snow angels is almost too much LOL
My best winter activity is cross country skiing. I just love going outside on days when snow is covering the ground and the sun changes everything into a sparkling wonderland. Alone somewhere in the trails, with no other sound than what the poles and skis can make. It really clears my mind.
I love the winter holidays! We've been hit hard economically - so now I tend to make many more crafted gifts and thank you's. Our daughter is 14, so now our focus is on family get-together's, cozy and comforting foods. We live in California, so we pretend to have a winter-wonderland by putting up our Christmas Village, complete with chapels and toy stores and farm houses, outdoor skating rink - with lots of "snow" all over the place! This is just a "coming-together" time for us and we treasure it every year! Happy days to you both, Melodie
My favorite wintertime activity is to just take advantage of all of the "inside" time and get a ton of crafts done. In the summer I always want to be outside, so I take advantage of the winter to craft alot!! I made a ton of homemade gifts for family, friends and neighbors and also my own Christmas cards!!

i actually have two favorite wintertime activities. My gifts to family and friends are lots of homemade goodie trays and I bake, bake, bake for several days. This year we are starting a new tradition, my daughter, new daughter-in-law and I will be taking a day and baking together. The best thing about the dark nights and cold days of wintertime is spending quality time with family, all cubbled up on the sofa watching tv or playing card or board games, there so many more than scrabble and monopoly. When its cold during the day I like taking a warm coffee into my craft room and either making cards or scrapbooks of my sons early years , he calls them his legacy.

Ok, although I'm not a fan of winter I would have to say that my favorite wintertime activity is building a snowman with my kids. It's amazing to see their precious faces, enjoying and having so much fun with the snow. We do this every year with my parents. Thank you much for the blog candy.

From my childhood I have those sweet memories from when I was with my father in the woods and we would drag the timber(? trees) in the snow - loved it!!
Now, the fun is to be out playing/skiing with my kids in the snow! :)

My activity I like is stamping, reading and organizing. We have a big yard sale with about six families every May. I spend my winter going thru closets etc. getting things for the sale. Thank you for the opportunity to win "candy".

what do i love about the winter.....well, here in South Africa we have short winters, and no snow, but the BEST thing is when it is as cold as it gets here, and a fire is crackling in the fireplace, and i have been in my PJ's the WHOLE day, stamping and crafting! really, my favourite winter thing to do!! love, love your stuff!!

My favorite thing to do in the winter is getting ready for Christmas. Hoping to have at least one good snow.
Those are itsy sneak peeks! I wanna see more! My favorite thing to do during the winter months are baking. Since Grandma passed I took over the family gift baking and with her recipes. I take a few days extra off work to get it all done!
My favorite wintertime activity is when we lived in California and travelled up to the Sierras to cut a Christmas tree. We'd visit the same tree farm every year because they had the best white firs and served warm apple cider to those brave enough to hike high enough to find one!!
We live in Southern AZ and we really don't get an snow, but remembering my childhood in Germany I loved going for long walks in the snow and come home to some hot chocolate. Now that I have kids I try to bake different cookies during the holiday season and do holiday crafts with them. Hugs, Sabrina

My favorite winter activity is none. I hate the winter (heehee). However, I do like to watch the snow fall especially at night. I could stare out the window all night long. It just reminds me of God's beautiful creation. I also like to prop the window open just enough to feel the crisp fresh air but, not enough to freeze.
I do love watching it snow....you know those big fluffy snowflakes that just seem to float like feathers. That is my favorite kind of snow.

That sneak peek looks exciting! My favorite wintertime activity is not very actie - warp up in a warm throw and read a book or watch TV with a hot beverage in hand.
Take a walk in the evening, especially around Christmas time. See all the Christmas decorations in the neighborhood. Preferable after it has snowed but that doesn't happen too often. The snow usually doesn't come until later in January and February.

I'm guessing you mean cold weather activities? Well, it never gets cold here. I just took a vacation in San Diego and I want to go back already! When we got in last Friday at 8:30 p.m., it was 80 degrees and muggy! So I'm just going to say the usual - cardmaking!
Just want you to know that Carolyn sent me to answer this question which is kind of hard for me since I live in Phoenix and we really don't have a "winter." My answer is that I love to dream of a winter wonderland and remember when I whas young and lived in snow country that making snow angels was the best fun.
Easy question - STAMPING and COLOURING - pretty much like my favourite spring, summer and autumn favourite pastimes.

Great question! I LOVE winter. Poor Suzanne over at Scrap Bitz lives just a few miles from me and she's hating winter already. :) I live in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. My favorite winter time activity is setting up a huge jigsaw puzzle on a very snowy day (hopefully DAYS) and putting on a huge pot of veggie soup (I do make the best! hehe). I could spend every moment by the patio doors on the table with that puzzle and a cup of hot soup. OH boy! I can't wait! Of course I will have to sneak in some scrapping and if we do get snow early, I'd better get started on the Xmas cards. Darn! Haven't even finished the Halloween cards yet! I should probably say staying snuggly & warm inside with my stamps, but in all honesty, my fave thing is playing with the dog who gets done right giddy in the snow! It's so funny to see him trudge out into the drifts, just his head and the tip of his tail visible.

Well, right now we are living in Hawaii so winter is quite different, however, when we did live places where winter is truly winter....I loved staying in and drinking hot chocolate!
I love a open fire ( yes i have one) with my OH snuggled up on the settee watching soppy movies.
One yesr i would love to see the snow fall on Christmas Eve .. now that would be something!
My favorite winter activity is having a snow day! I love in SC and we don't have snow often, so when we do I love watching it snow, drinking some hot chocolate, while sitting in front of a fire.
My favourite winter activity would have to be colouring beautiful stamped images, shopping and blog hopping. The same for all seasons. Thanks for the opportunity to win such fabulous candy.

Well... actually it's my any time activity: staying inside and stamping! When I was younger I loved to skate on ice.

I can not wait to see the new stamps. Before I got married and started my family I would say that goose hunting with my Dad was my fav. winter thing to do. However now that I have 2 kids my fav. is decorating our house for the holidays and watching Sunday football with my husband...Lisa G
ohhhhhh i love those little snips.. :)) i love to take a long walk on the first snow :)) you know the first snow that stays,, and that looks like glitter :) that is such fun... and then i love to stay worm in front of the fire place :)) heheheh thats about it for the winter activity's for me.. LOL!! ;)))
in south texas we don't really have a winter at least not what you would associate with winter but my favorite thing to do is cozy up on the sofa and read a good book.

I love to stamp & cook, in any season :-) but especially in the winter. Makes the house feel warm & cozy, not to mention smelling good, which always puts me in the mood to create :-)

Oh goody new relases !!! My favorite thing to do in the winter is snuggle and watch movies with the grandkids and of course decorate for the holidays and craft, craft craft !

My favorite winter time activity is decorating the house. We put up 2 Christmas trees and then decorate the rest of the house with a snow / snowman theme.
OH so cute sneak peeks, can't wait! My favorite wintertime activity is to spend time in the snow with my grandchildren making snowmen together. They are at such a great age for this wintertime fun together and it allows them to be creative and to stand back and watch what they made for days after they made them. ;)

is watching a movie by the fire in the fireplace with a cup of cocoa. When I lived up north, I loved sledding. Then I'd come home to a cup of hot cocoa by the fire. Cozy memories.

I have so many favorite winter time activities. My truly favorite one is watching the snow fall, then going outside and just taking in the peace and silence of a world that has seemed to slow down its pace for even just a few minutes before the roads are cleared of snow and the people get back to life as usual. I also love curling up on the couch with my family under a big blanket and drinking cocoa.
In answer to your question, I love walks in the early evening when he falls for beautiful snowflakes. But my favorite among all settle by the fireplace and read a good book.
My favorite wintertime activity is soaking in a hot bubble bath with a good book- that's where I do my best reading!

I love to take walks while it is snowing, it's so quiet and peaceful.. then come in and craft in my stamping room with a steaming cup of vanilla flavored coffee..

Fabulous blog hop, what a great set of images! My fave winter activity is to take the boys out to play in snow for a bit, then we come in grab some hot cocoa, and watch the Polar Express movie all bundled up under covers snuggling.

Cute~cute sneak peeks! My favorite winter thing is to go thru all my garden magazines and make next years plans...helps keep me from going stir crazy....of course stamping and paper projects are right "up there" on top, but I figured you meant "besides" stamping...LOL!
Well winter is my least favorite season but I do enjoy baking a lot in the winter and just staying inside where it's nice and warm with perhaps a good book or a fun stamp set to stamp and create with.
My favorite winter activity is to go to Rockefeller Center to see the annual Christmas tree, watch the ice skaters, drink hot chocolate and end the day with a trip to St. Patrick's Cathedral. This has been a yearly tradition for myself and two children.

Oh I LOVE winter I must admit. I love snow. Ice skating is a favorite wintertin activity of mine. I cannot wait to see these stamps. I know they will be wonderful.
My favorite wintertime is sitting with my family on a Sunday afternoon, watching the cooking shows on TV, while a yummy dinner is cooking in the oven! And then of course, having a great time with them eating it! Everyone relaxed and together! Seems to happen more in the winter...
