Good morning, my paper crafting friends:o) I sure hope Monday was very, very good to you and that Tuesday will be even better!!! Do you know what time it is??? It is time for....a new Try It Out Tuesday Challenge for Susana's Custom Art & Card Design Store!! This week, we were issued a challenge by the über, über, mega-talented Suzanne. She asked that we make a back-to-school gift that could be given to either a teacher or a student. What to make....
I decided to make a gift for my son's girlfriend, Sara. Although she is a junior in high school and this may seem childish to her, who doesn't like candy? I also tried my hand at creating my own template for a bookbag. So please, don't be too harsh...I am not the savviest with measurements;o} But for my first three-dimensional project, I don't think I did too bad. However, I think I will make my next one narrower. I pulled my inspiration for this bookbag from one my Oba-san sent to me when I was starting kindergarten...yup...it is now officially an antique;o) Hahaha!! It isn't flimsy like modern bookbags, and it closes on the bottom with a magnetic buckle. I planned to take a picture of it and totally forgot.
Above is the card that accompanies the set. The adorable image on all of these projects is sweet Emma from the Elisabeth Bell Collection sold exclusively at Susana's Custom Art & Card Design. I find her absolutely adorable, and I love the little kitty in the basket:o) Don't you? Now, I just hope Sara likes it!! Hopefully, she won't take offense to the Nerds and the Airheads I put inside and will focus on the Smarties instead;o)Thank you so very much for stopping by and sharing a portion of your Tuesday with me:o) Don't forget to stop by the beautiful blogs of my super-dooper talented and inspirational DT sisters and see what fabulous back-to-school creations they came up with!! I know their creations will boggle your mind and make you swoon!
Love & Hugs!!
