Can you believe it's raining here in Arizona?! This must be one of the 5 days without sunshine that we get all year. I shouldn't complain...huh? So to brighten my day I thought I would pull out this Lily at the Beach set. Susana is carrying a lot of the Pink Cat Studio sets now, and even has the new Sports Billy! I colored the image with Copic markers. The colors evolved from the scrap of Wild Raspberry DP I had on my desk and the bit of fringe yarn. I added some clouds behind her, and gave the sweet turtle a glossy shell using diamond glaze. The edges of the turquoise card stock were scored with the Scor-Pal.
The top left corner needed a splash of color, so I punched a circle from yellow cardstock and spritzed it with Baby's Breath Spritz, then used a craft knife to cut a slot around Lily's head to tuck the sun behind her. I also gave the Primas a shot of Baby's Breath Spritz. I used also dipped my finger into a puddle of Baby's Breath Spritz and rubbed just a bit on Lily's hat and dress. You can really see the bits of sparkle in the photo below (click to enlarge). It seems I find a use for Shimmerz on darn near everything I make.
So...what do you think of my sunshine for today?
Hugs, Jami
